"Award-winning musician, David Adeleke, aka Davido, has described the day of his wedding with his long-time partner, Chioma Rowland, as the best day of his life. The elated musician was heard in a video clip online saying he felt good about the decision to tie the knot with his lover.
“I feel good. It’s the best day of my life. It’s a great day. We are here to receive our wife,” Davido said in the video clip. The wedding, which was staged in Lagos State, attracted dignitaries, including governors, high-profile traditional rulers, and celebrities, among others, who graced the occasion that became the most trending event in the country on Tuesday." Davido and Chioma's wedding finally happened on Tuesday the 25th of June, 2024 with the hastag, #chivido2024 trending all across all social media platforms. It was and still is the talk of town as this isn't the first time Davido is trending for something major; good or nasty. But despite the glorious ceremony, the big questions still stands for me; "would you marry a Davido?"

I might not marry a man who has cheated on me repeatedly, but one thing I know for sure is that I'll definitely marry a man who loves me the way Davido loves and adores Chioma.

One thing you guys fail to understand is that most young men at the age of 25, 26 upto 28 who made so much money tends to behave like David, youthful exorbirant etc, look at 2 face Idibia, but today as 2face grow in age he is even more responsible. Responsibility comes with age most time. I believe as he becomes more matured he will become like 2face, so Glory calm down, its not about marrying Davido its about not even dating a billionaire of such age bracket. Cos they most misbehave, do u know what it means for a guy below 30 and have billions in your acct. But just know that with time and age things will come around.

I wont be a hypocrite and say i didn't watch their wedding with joy in my heart. Why? Because davido is chioma's happiness. She deserves to be happy and if she thinks her happiness is being with him, who on earth am i to judge?

My current conviction is I will not, however, I have never been in her shoes. Personally I can't deal with numerous scandals of cheating, there is always a cost to pay when one stays in such and I suppose the question is are you willing to pay the cost.

My Question is people always have opinion in other people shoes. I can't marry Davido because he's a cheat really?. Chioma should leave Davido, what's the possibility that if Chioma leaves Davido she'll find a perfect man?? She'll keep changing husband and the same people will mocked them.

No I would not but I blame Chioma because she shows Davido that she is in a competition to win him and no matter what she is the right candidate.She is accepting all these because she looked at the camera on her wedding day and said , it was meant to .Davido knows what he is doing because he was guilty and broke down in tears when he finally had to look at Chioma, s parents to answer them how he will take care of their daughter.I wish Chioma would take time for herself and think of all the sacrifices she did to win this competition. She changed her whole body, her lifestyle by partying, drinking , forcing to have another baby through IVF right after Ife kpai instead of grieving her son and wait for God’s time , giving up to experience the love of motherhood with her twins just to fit the lifestyle of Davido to . Dating and married are very different and after this big wedding celebration she will continue to cry in silence . She smiles in public but she is not happy .She is a woman , a mother and a wife now so ahe needs to seek God for this new journey .

You need to also understand that a struggling broke musician, wont have as many scandals around him. He won't have baby mamas in other countries, wont be seen begging for sex, won't have such crowd of guys all aroubf him. Also, its Davido's popularity that brought all of his scandals to public. Many Nigerians experience similar issues. An unrepentant broke cheating husband/partner and they stay back with the hope that 'he will change'

I would never marry a Davido because I prioritize my peace and stability. I want my man for myself and my children alone. I don’t ever want to deal with the idea that my man has another “love” somewhere. I want a man that we can build our life goals and raise our children together.

I agree with you. Love is not enough, Chioma knows that financially, she and her children are safe financially if anything goes awry in the nearest future.

My family is Gambian, Senegalese, and Guinean. In our culture, it’s a good sign if it rains on someone funeral and wedding. HOWEVER, I can’t marry a man like Davido chileeee. Aint that much money in the world.
