Past the 4BA + DD simgot em6l, I thought more drivers just started to crowd each other out. But I recently got the TRN VX Pro+ out of curiosity for its EIGHT BA's and single DD. It feels cheap, the cable is cheap, but the fit is great, and the sound is kind of insane. They're a bit spicy up top, but the detail is huge and they've got a frankly ridiculous soundstage and imaging presentation - they can make sounds in front, behind, out far, in near, even above and below. They literally dance. I normally like 1-4 drivers. But those NINE driver TRN's have kinda blown me away. Recommend checking them out, they've become my gaming IEM of choice, beating out the EM6l.
I had to return the 7hz Five. The fit was extremely uncomfortable. The V shape was way too aggressive and the treble was murderously bright. The Binary Acoustics Dynaquattro with 4 DDs craps all over the 7hz Five.
Oh, if you haven't heard, soundpeats just launched the capsule 3 pro plus, with a DD + XMEMS driver setup. Seeing as the only other choice on earth for a TWS with ANC and the like is the insanely amazing sounding but otherwise horrible ANC and connectivity and app is the creative aurvana ace 2, I'm really curious to know if there's finally a good XMEMS set out there, since the sound of the ace 2 is beyond incredible in the clarity without harshness world.
Nice review, Thanks! Everything I buy is a blind buy, there is no place to hear these IEMs before I buy one. That said I do look at the graphs for some guidance. Both of these IEM's are too V-shaped for me.
