@wayne_3791I like Danny and I really enjoy his vlogs, but anyone that’s ridden dirt bikes seriously knows this guy can’t ride for shit and probably should stick to the tarmac until he learns some basic off-road principles. In saying that, it makes for really good viewing which I’m sure most people here would agree.
Its all getting a bit ridiculous now. Danny’s left foot is too painful to change gear, but he can stand on it, and swing his right leg over the bike? Why not get on the bike from the right side? Yes I believe you are a genuine person and you are showing genuine emotion but I think, from reading a lot of peoples comments, we would rather watch an interesting Vlog with no drama and hype than wasting my time watching slow motion footage of silly mishaps that happen to us every day. mate 7 months ago i had a highside. flew off and destroyed my shoulder blade and collar bone torn my ligaments and rip my tendons and yet I managed to pick the bike up and ride it to a mates 10 minutes away. adrenaline is a wonderful thing. he is rolling around like he about to die. what a melt.
Fell of my bike on concrete and asphalt, after some jackass cut me off. Was wearing full Kevlar and high boots and came out of it without a scratch! The bike weights about 300kg or 700lbs fell on me right leg. Was able to lift it enough to free free leg.
I hope he doesn't seriously hurt himself one day because it will hit him like a ton of bricks. i still think about what i could've done differently but what's done is done and now i can hardly lift 10 kg on my left arm. its crazy how you can find the strength to lift the thing, my fazer was only 210kg luckily i didn't get trapped but didn't let go of the bars till the last second so all momentum was on my arm. even after surgery the physician says my arm will never be the same again. no one else was involved i had the bright idea to use my rear to slow down into a sharp left bend, wasn't going fast when i went down about 20-25mph, the wheel locked up and went into a slide i managed to saved it but to much and went the other way then gripped, you can imagen the rest. bike was fine just a little scratched. glad your doing ok.

Another interesting episode of “The Adventures Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert.” I certainly commend and admire all the hard work and perseverance in putting these videos together. Unfortunately what I cannot admire is the foolish things MDB does while trying to get maximum entertainment for his (me) subscribers. These blogs have about as much to do with the art of long distance motorcycle rides as Sons Of Anarchy did with motorcycle clubs. Actually, Danny is humorous to watch, but dangerous if you try to follow his example. Lol, as they used to say on Television, “don’t try this at home.”

when danny had bike at matt laidlaw's i didnt get the mods they did at all. backrest and handlebar adjustment - makes sense provides comfort. but the loudest exhaust ever just draws attention in these foreign countries - and those crash bars look like they dig in or impale you.
Danny: I'm super strong, super tough, and no one could do the things I do! Also Danny: I slowly set my bike on my foot in insanely soft sand, deliberately doing something very dangerous that I didn't need to do. Even though I can walk, put weight on it, and there's no visible bruising, it's definitely broken I'm totally screwed. I'm not going to complain about it though..... Proceeds to complain for the next hour of footage.

I found the tyre pressure storyline more believable and exciting than the “I’m not gunna whinge/I think it’s broken/let’s ride sand again”. The violin and drama queen diva was a bit much…just sayin. I think your real estate background helps selling this storyline. This episode was a renovators delight 😅

37-39 seconds into the video you can see the left foot clean and clear and not trapped then a few seconds later it’s supposed to be trapped under the bike and covered in sand. I got into MDB when it was just Danny being himself and riding bikes in interesting places. All this fake drama, bs clickbait cliffhangers, overly dramatic music and crying all the time is just so off putting and unnecessary. I guess it’s all in the pursuit of subscribers but I think it’s having the opposite effect. I, for one, can’t stomach this any more. It’s been going downhill for a while and I think this just jumped the shark for me. I suspect he saw the skeleton and dumped the bike at the appropriate moment for what he thought would be good content. I wish you well Danny but this kind of stuff isn’t for me.
Yeah, I’d definitely suggest an actual pair of motorcycle boots. Not Harley fashion boots, but something designed for adventure/touring that has ankle protection. I have a pair of Icon boots that are about the size of a hiker, they’re waterproof, D3O armor on the ankle, and BOA closure instead of laces. Might be a something to consider going forward.

Then he's able to hike up a steep mountain and hike back down with a hurt foot! When he was hiking up I didn't see him limp at all so I think he is completely full of it!

Totally agree. I'm sure a LOT of people thought the same when they saw it. I can't say I didn't see this coming either. Through all the other vids where he drags his feet I just knew this would happen one day. He got lucky this time.
You should get that leg looked at. You might need a prosthetic and four years of rehab followed by intense physical therapy once a week for the rest of your life.
