@NurseAlyssa39 My surgery was laser based and the Dr made a hole next to the rectum to reach thr ischiorectal abscess which was 5cm to 6cm deep. I still feel pain surrounding the wound whenever I use the surrounding muscles such as sitting on it or moving. Its purple/blackish in colour around 2cm nothing major but looks infected. Flagyl antibiotics was taken for a week and seemed to improve the colouration into a little more pink but hasn't gone as of today and the wound is still ouzing pus which is yellowish/Red in colour which appears on my gauze which I place 5-6 times daily and I also use fucidin cream twice a day which I dress the wound with.
