Hi Alex, thnaks for sharing. I follow along but didnt manage after skinwarp to the edges of the wicker to match the opposite side after the warp...any clue you would share with us? Thanks!
Hello. First of all, the weaving pattern must be seamless. It's obvious, so I don't think it's your problem. It's also important that each target surface polygon triangulates in the same direction (mine is vertical), I specifically turned on triangulation display to show this and manually created the target surface by copying the polygons. This is the most reliable way.
@@AlexZhigin they are all vertical, unfortunately I can show you image here and somehow it misalign when I do the morph. Thank you anyway!! looking forward to see more videos tutorials.
@@AlexZhigin I think I figured out what happened. I'm using Max 2024 and the slice modifier changes the topology of the sheet and therefore the topology of the rattan... misaligning the vertices.
Clear. Then, if the new modifier does not have an option to disable mesh rebuilding, the best option would be to slice the mesh inside the edit poly using a slice plane, and remove the extra polygons.
Hi, I really need to learn this technique of creating seamless woven pattern for my project could you please share the full tutorial for this part only?
