So now that every LEGO Star Wars 2023 summer set has come out or has been officially revealed. We only have 1 LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set left to be leaked that being LEGO Star Wars 75367 the LEGO Star Wars 2023 UCS Venator. This set comes out October 1st, 2023 and will include over 5,000 pieces and 2 NEW 2023 LEGO Star Wars 2023 Minifigures. One being a LEGO Star Wars admiral Yularen and the other being the coveted LEGO Star Wars 2023 Phase 2 Captain Rex. Today we have official IN-HAND HD Images of the Rex LEAKED and I wanted to spend some time breaking the entire figure down and comparing it to the previous 2013 version. This is really the last set to fully figure out before we start seeing and hearing more about the LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Leaks! Let's get into the breakdown.

Dislike the helmet holes but like the printed arms, ammo pack WAY to big. Overall I like it about the same as the 2013 one, GCC for the win tho!

Once they hopefully start giving us waistcapes again, I think a Commander Doom or Bly minifigure would actually look amazing. Doom has a visor and Bly has macrobinoculars, so the holes wouldn't be an issue whatsoever, and the waistcapes would complete the look perfectly.

I'm not quite sure which captain/commander i wanna see next, but one clone i REALLY want to see being made official is CT-5555 or "Fives". I feel like he plays a massive role, both for Capt. Rex and all the other clones, by discovering the inhibitor chips. Rex is heavily involved in the later series/stories and that couldn't have happened, if it wasn't for Fives. I have made a custom one which wasn't cheap at all so I would be both sad and happy to see an official one XD One day maybe. untill then, my 501st squad will still remain of 2013 Capt. Rex, custom Fives and a mix of recent battle packs 501st troopers.

I think that Lego NEEDS to make a Commander Bly, as they never made a phase 1 or phase 2 minifigure, but in reality I think the next one they WILL make is a phase 2 Commander Wolffe

I want to see Lego make commander Gree again! I also don’t mind the helmet holes and I can just fix the mini fig by adding a black waist cape. What I really like about the 2023 Captain Rex figure is the arms and head. The printing looks pretty solid to me and I’m really stoked to get it! Also I don’t like the inaccurate tallies marks because I think lego could do more with these figures. That’s all that I have to say, another great video fingers crossed I win the P2 Fox😊

I will say that I would like to see lego making a Captain Neyo figure in 2020 style, because my first star wars set was the one where Captain neyo was included with a speeder and some clones, and for a commander, it would be Commander Bacara, because it's a so unique clone that has an amazing helmet!

Neyo is also a commander. Both he and Bacara are specifically marshal commanders, which is the highest rank a clone can achieve. Other marshal commanders include Cody and Bly.

I would say overall the new captain Rex is definitely a solid minifig despite the minor dislikes I have with it, such as the wielding lines looking better on the 2013 fig. As for what captain/commander fig I would like to see be made in the future, I would definitely like to see a commander Bly fig since yellow is my most favorite color lol

I don't understand why people keep saying the ugly poop stain looking weld lines on the original look better. They don't! Even if they are slightly more accurate they're still incredibly ugly and gross looking.

@Lukedub whether they look gross is subjective. Subtle weld lines are inaccurate and therefore objectively inferior to the originals. Sacrificing accuracy is never a "good choice", as it isn't the way it is meant to look

Rex looks alright, just a run of the middle fig. If they just gave him a kama, extended the visor, made the amo pouch smaller and gave him an exclusive mold that only has one hole in the correct spot this would be 10/10 no questions asked.

I’m definitely looking forward to what could be a Commander Wolfe next year, but I’d really enjoy either a Commander Howzer or Gree. Besides commanders, it would be great to see arc troopers Jessie and Fives, a nameless clone commando or Gregor in his commando gear.

I think a commander doom is long overdue and could be something new and fresh for the community. Twh rex is mostly fine but the pauldron is oversized and a kama would be nice, but overall i think the fig is a good representation of rex in the newer clone look.

I’d love to see Commander Bly in an upcoming set. Him and Wolfe are definitely my top picks and if we get Plo or Aayla in whatever set they’d come with that’d be a huge bonus!

Imagine if in the next video LifeBricks pulls out yet another Commander Fox minifigure and goes, "I have made the decision to give away my cat's personal Commander Fox minifigure to just 34 lucky winners..." At the rate he's going, he could set up his own LEGO store that just sells early Commander Foxes called The Fifteen Fox Co. On a more serious note though, a Commander Doom would be a phenomenal minifigure to have in a genuine LEGO set!

I really want them to make a phase 2 Bly, it's a clone commander we've never had before in lego, and imo one of the coolest looking legions. Of course the galactic marines are also up there imo.

It's probably never going to happen in a million years but a captain Fordo minifig would be sick! Of course this year would have been the best for it since they're "celebrating" the 20th anniversary of the og clone wars from 2003.

The minifigure looks a lot better than expected. Didn't like how it looked in the skywalker saga, especially the helmet and how squished the print appears, but the irl figure looks pretty good. Just sad they resorted to printing the waist cape. The minifigure might not be the most accurate, but besides the printed waist cape I think it turned out solid. I just really hope it will appear in another cheaper set in 2024 cuz I ain't spending 650 on a single lego set or 150 bucks on just one minifigure

I feel that probably next commander is going to be Wolffe. But I think they will make Commander Bly next year too. But I really want Lego to release a p2 Rex in a cheaper set. And it feels a bit unfair, because there might be children that like Rex but their parents can’t afford the UCS sets, so they can’t get their favorite characters. And I noticed that lego started releasing clone commanders in 100+ dollar sets. If they would release Rex in a set like that I would’ve been happy. And I feel that lego is focusing more on the adult part of Lego Star Wars fans than the kid part.

The 2013 helmet is more accurate in almost every way other than the rangefinder - I don’t know what they were thinking with that mouth or visor design. The mouth design on the original, despite appearing smaller, has a far more appropriate design that actually matches what you see with the character instead of going with their odd 2020 clone design.

For the waist cape, I wouldve accepted a compromise. Dual molded legs, black on the upper half to represent the skirt all around, white for the lower half. But of course they take the laziest route possible.

Commander Bly is long overdue! With modern Lego’s manufacturing capabilities, Bly could easily be printed. That and 327th troopers would be welcome as a set or battle pack. Plus, the helmet holes could all be filled with macro binoculars. It’d be a win all the way around

Honestly if the waistcape print looks weird when you put an actual waistcape on it you could just use the regular 501st legs on Rex then put an actual waistcape on him. It’s something I’ll try atleast. And yes the 501st legs look a bit different but it’s not a massive difference most people would notice

We need to have CLONE COMMANDER THORN! He was is in Season 6 Episode 7: Crisis at the Heart, which is actually the episode that has the Coruscant Guard Gunship! I think we probably should have gotten Commander Thorn in that LEGO set instead of Commander Fox, but I digress! He would be relatively easy for LEGO to make as his armor is closer to the standard Shock Trooper armor, but he does have those beautiful Pegasus wings designed on his helmet that would look stunning, if done properly. Also, he has a kama; please give it to us LEGO!

@skinnedham That is Commander Fox, NOT, Commander Thorn. Fox has shock trooper armor with an inverted color palet, while Thorn has regular shock trooper armor with a customized helmet.

Honestly for me, the biggest issue with red is the helmet brow line. I know technically the clone wars variants don’t have brow lines, but the helmet just looks a little empty to me. I think be best commander to do next is probably commander blu. It could go well with the whole clone wars 20 year thing since we saw the 327th clone back in ‘05. It’s totally do able for Lego, since now we’ve got new helmets. But to be realistic, Gree or Wolfe is most likely next. We already saw Fox, Rex and Palpy leaked in castaway. Gree is probably gonna be in a set with luminara and that 41st elite trooper previously seen. Idk what set Wolffe would be in though

It sucks that LEGO has gone the cheapest route with a UCS Captain Rex, as this is meant to be a premium product and so for them to continue their off-putting helmet hole placement, misprinting of tally-marks and armor, and lack of waist cape is inexcusable - especially as an option for clones such as Rex exists in which LEGO could dual mold or side and back print the legs with a waist cape so 'the minifig could sit' but also include a waist cape for all the fans who will only display the $650 Rex standing.

I think they definitely should do a phase 2 Commander Wolffe, since he‘s got a really unique helmet design and was last seen in phase 1

I’d love a remake of Commander Bly & 327th star corps! I grew up with that classic clone vs droid battle pack & i miss the yellow marking clone troops!!
