Love the creativity. But it's way too shallow for koi (or any fish really) - fish get sunburns like people do so it should be at least 2.5' (really 3') had it shallowest point and much deeper overall. Also there are no hiding places for the fish, which is critical for stress levels. There's nowhere near enough filtration or aeration and I didn't see anything like sealant to prevent the cement leaching into the water which will definitely kill the fish fairly quickly - liners are typically a much better solution nevertheless you could do sealant but you'd have to do several layers and be certain that you're 100% covered. Also because it's such a small body of water you really need some type of heater for water stability because a 2° change in temperature is enough to kill a fish Just in case anybody is considering doing this. It makes a great fountain or a little bird bath but it isn't really a good fish pond.
Very nice and creative work. Just a constructive critique: the bricks should not be placed in line one above the other, vertically. Over time, due to the pressure of water and humidity, they can crack at the joints. Its the same as cement blocks.
@@nappykat73, in brick houses (and with other uses of brick) the bricks are laid so that they overlap 2 bricks below them. The ends are staggered in each layer rather than ending at the same place as the ones underneath. It's much more stable with the ends staggered.
Поначалу смотрела с недоверием и непринятием, но в конце отношения кардинально изменилось и самой захотелось иметь такой водоем. Спасибо за позитивное и полезное видео.
Guess my son is attempting to make this as there are lots of stiff towels in his room...........along with now bullet proof gym socks and the like glass blankie.
I know it's just an old wives tale (so to speak), but you might want to book an appointment with an optometrist. Lots of boys have eyesight issues during that summer when they're getting tall.
Your pond is a work of art! I love all the detail and beauty you put into it. It is truely a piece of awesomeness. After your wife saw this masterpiece, I'm sure she didn't mind that you took her towels. 🌿🌹🌿🤗

Я прям кайфую когда в цементе люди голыми руками купаются🙈 у самой до сих пор на ладошке дырка от порвавшейся перчатки со времен моей работы штукатуром в девяностые😏
Superb! However those fish wouldn't last 5 mins in the UK. Come winter they'd freeze, summer they'd burn and the rest of the time, a Heron would take them.🤔🤔😊
@@monkeytennis7477 😆😆😆 like cannon fodder you mean? Harsh but effective I guess?🤔🤔🤔😆😆😆😕😉 The project was aesthetically pleasing, but, for fish keeping? Far from perfect, one might say, "as much use as'mammary glands' on a fish!"😆😆😆😆
this is very amazing.. I'm just thinking that how long that towel will works with water and fishes..I think you should spread some plastic sheets on the floor so that it wil be very long lasting without leakages for the wall or floor. Anyways good appreciated👏🏻

Exactly. I will often give a 👍 to a creator, even if I thoroughly dislike the product, because they've worked hard to achieve that skill level, and have put their time and energy into the project, and deserve recognition for this.
Absolutely worth sacrificing those two towels for this pond! lol I love 😍 cement projects, big or small, they always comes out better then expected n I end up keeping them instead of selling them as planned! 🤪😂
Please give advice about deep frost. I live in Canada and would like it to make . Just not sure how it over live cold winter. Might crack cement? Thanks
