@@coltino99 I've seen it with previous hosts. One of the hosts had a "special" question card he kept in his pocket and pulled it out when the first person got the 200 points. They would change the score to something like 25 points, then he'd pull out the card with some of the most off the wall questions. It now seems that even if the first person gets all #1 answers they'll never make enough points.

Someone did 198 but they went First!

There were 2 different occasions where it almost happened. There was a mother-daughter team that played Fast Money. The mother went 1st and got 197 points. Her daughter repeated all but one of her answers. In the end, the mother had 4 of the 5 #1 answers. The daughter had all 5 #1 answers. Had the daughter gone first, I think she could have gotten 200 by herself.

I've seen the clip from one of the 200 points on the first round and it's hilarious. The family does all the celebrating but they still let the 2nd person come out and Ray gives just ridiculous questions before he can't hold it together and lets them know they already won

It happened more than once during the Richard Dawson years. He brought the second person on and made up some dumb questions to get the goat of the new player.

Honestly watching this I was able to nail all #1s and usually I am missing atleast one. Hardest one was settling down age as that could vary.

@@TheHayeShawn I don't know. 25 is too young, even for many women these days (emphasis on these days; the first guy was definitely from a different generation). Most men are nowhere near ready by then for numerous reasons. 40 is too old, especially for women, but most men don't want to have their first child after 40 let alone have kids right away when they marry. 35 isn't a round number, but was probably the second highest scoring answer as 25 was a very low score. So 30 was the easy choice IMO. Still only got 31 points. Only the first question was pretty tricky, and i'm surprised it scored as high as it did as usually the first couple #1 answers don't score as high as the last 2 #1 answers which are the "moneyball" questions you really want to get right in Fast Money. The last questions are easier (more obvious) and harder (less good answers) at the same time...

NGL, I got 4/5 number 1 answers from my immediate reaction answers, then only 1 I missed was Tomato. The wedding dress & the toilet were the most obvious; the other 3 had many options.

Depends where you are or your culture and stuff. I'm Asian so traditionally we like being clean and don't enjoy sitting on the floor, so yes, we prefer a picnic table. I also grew up in a western country where prefer the outdoors, nature, and don't mind being a little dirty, so picnics in that context would mean a rug and sitting and eating food on the ground.

Not every question comes from the same group of surveyed people. Each question might have come from a different mall somewhere in America.

It doesn't make it impossible, just not possible this time.

They don't ever have all five number one answers total 200 or more. They haven't done that since the Richard Dawson and Ray Combs eras of Feud. I think they want to have both players participate in Fast Money instead of just having the second player come out knowing they already won. And I doubt that Steve would want to prank the second contestant with joke question like Ray Combs did when he was the host.

It has probably been done before. Many of the Dawson or Combs Family Feuds would often have questions with #1 answers scoring into the 70s. So if the conditions were right, that could do it pretty easily.

@@Marc-kc3nz not true. The point values are based entirely on the amount of people who gave each possible answer to the survey. If the average value of each top answer is over 40, then the first player getting 200 points is entirely possible

@@KHolzer444 Not if the production staff has a mandate to pick five questions where the #1 answers never total more than 199 points. They stack the deck so it absolutely takes two players to win, no matter how good one of them does (like this).

In the US Family Feud history, I would say. On April 29, 2000, in Russia, there was a score of *255* in Fast Money.

There was also at least once the first person got the 200 points alone... It was before Steve Harvey, but I forget which host, pretty sure they brought out the second person and told them the first person did really bad.

@@lance8720 Everyone says that, but no one has provided ANY proof that that is true. And it ISN'T true. Or at least wasn't not too long ago. There have been videos up in the past (not on the official Family Feud channel, so it may be taken down) where we SEE all the #2 answers between the two contestant. so we see all the scores. And they total more than 200.
