Here's a tip for everyone playing classic hardcore. If you have to run away, *strafe* away with your side to the mob, that way you can still dodge, block and parry attacks and you're not going to get dazed.
There are a lot of things that could have changed Ozy's fate, the most glaring for me (besides no kiting or shield block) is the unused fear. That platform is the perfect place to drop a fear bomb for extra crowd control.
As much as people joke about how easy classic wow is warrior tanking is an artform. ozzy still has a long way to go setting up macros and weakauras etc.

You can just perm sheep one and take it slow You can fear bomb and nothing bad will happen You could not be stupid and focus enforcers when there are multiple up You could kite with slows Just don’t stack the bleed and it’s free
Not only fear, but no shield block, no disarm enforces, not using demo shout (Used it only once) and battle shout, no thunderclap, not even cleave once. This guy needs high school for warrior tanking. Warrior is not so hard but hard to master. And Ozy is amateur.
I truly recommend two addons for HC: ClassicBestiary and Mobinfo2. ClassicBestiary has information about the mobs abilities in the tooltip and Mobinfo2 has information about what class the mob is. There is 3 classes of mobs. Warriors, Paladins and Mages. This is mostly regarding health value and armour. If you’re Mage farming you simply want to find a pack of mobs that are classified as Paladins because they are melee and have lower health and armour than Warrior and Mages are usually casters.
The biggest fail there was the mage tbh, he should have kept one of the three mobs sheeped the whole fight so they are only fighting two at a time, meaning much less damage on the tank, and saving healer mana, and also allowing him to drop the stacks with disarm whenever there was only one enforcer attacking him.
Im playing now and ive had some heart stopping moments, currently a lv 27 Night Hunter Called Wooismhc. So many deaths in my guild its shocking and funny as heck at the same time lol Would be great to see how an Offical version would look and play

6:45 For whatever it is worth, in my experience as a warrior, one should not simply turn their back to the mob and run. Instead, it is better to face the mob (or mobs), and use hamstring on them while trying to stay alive, THEN back up, turn, and run. You can also use hamstring while running past mobs that are likely to aggro. Hamstring imo, is a warriors best friend.
no matter the class, it's always dumb to turn your back on the mobs, they will daze you to the infinite, but you're right, a warrior MUST harmstring them because that's the only way the warriors have to get out of danger, warriors are the worst class at running away
@@xLuis89xI hamstring and back up until I can charge a distant mob and use it to build distance, then hamstring that mob and drop a target dummy to shed aggro. Petri is a last resort
If asmon never comes around, I wouldn’t be upset. He has watched countless death videos and analysis videos about hc and truly gotten amazing content out of just watching from afar. I do think he’d struggle to stream this. Hope one day he does come around. It really is some good fun. No two runs are ever the same! Can be sorta rogue like in that regard! Cheers

Except his run is fake, the addon people restored his mage when he right clicked a stealth rogue by accident. That shit gets ignored when others appeal with the response “learn left click on interact”. So he is a bs player and Shannon is a zombie in HC terms
@Alan Dworsky pretty sure it's a grief if someone does that to you? And you can challenge it as long as you have video proof and level 20+. And yes maybe he gets faster service, but sadly that's way the world works. He's bringing 10s of thousands to the game so I'd say he deserves it. I'm on my 5th character now 🤣 level 15 currently. I've died to some bullshit myself

The situation was he was rushed to try and escape because as he was about to land he saw a griefer was kiting at elite dragon through booty bay to try and kill him. So there were multiple people attempting to get him killed in that moment, all of them griefers. It wasnt a normal situation imo, and wasnt really an authentic mistake
guys, Alan has already said it. The problem is that there is special preference for a streamer. There are other people that flagged themselves for PVP and got killed by level 60 that was waiting stealth and those people did not get their char restored. I love Xaryu but rules have to be applied to everybody the same
20:30, the dwarf rogue played right. he stopped autoattack because he wanted to drop aggro from the 2 murlocs he did not attacked. he gouged the mob that was attacking him to reduce damage. the only error he made was initial placement and missing his throw.

Yeah when 10 people are waiting for 1 mob to spawn, because they are all on the same quest but only 1 person can get it, because they cant group so they are all trying to out-tag everybody. Or when you are 30+ the world is dead after that because most people dont make it that far. That's what it actually is outside of videos like this one. So I'm not sure about the community, but its still fun to play.
Not even 1 mouse-over HOJ from the pally to help with the kiting to drop bleed stacks... No BoP or Lay on hands. No hunter frost trap to help with kiting either, hunter actually got his pet killed at the start it looks like. Hardcore classic is basically amateur hour. M+ 20+ runners would crush this content if blizz ever made an official HC server. At the same time, good players would never make it to 60 because they'd be bored out of their minds playing classic.
Seeing Asmongold play WoW Classic HC would be so damn entertaining. I can see him engaging with the game like in the old days and flipping a shit at everything that happens around him 😂
I used to love WoW but haven't played it in like 15 years. WoW is 1 of 2 games my wife and I played together and one she truly loved. However, I do enjoy watching the lore videos, they are so amazing!
I'm so glad that Xaryu has been popping off during Hardcore Classic and achieving all time viewership!! He deserves it he grinds so much and he's such a nice wholesome guy I'm so happy for him!! Also one more thing you can really tell that even though this is the meta right now for Classic Xaryu isn't just doing it for viewership!! You can tell 100% that he is having a blast doing this and I think that's one of the reasons why so many people are enjoying his streams right now playing HC Classic!!!

I wonder why they didn't focus the bleed ogres in that LBRS event. Those have to die first because the bleeding is stacking up. Casters can just be interrupted. His main mistake was allowing 14 stacks of that bleed to happen, no healer can deal with that without running out of mana. You need to focus and cc the bleed ogres, root them and run out the bleed debuff if necessary. *18 stacks
Recently started playing WoW hardcore and just the knowing and playing by the rules makes it way more intense. Always sucks when others just watch you in trouble and do not help.
Imo yes. At least if youre planning on doing any late game content whatsoever. If you just let everyone you see die, paired with the amount of people that just die due to hyper spawns and/or -9 IQ, then there won't be a community at level 60. If you don't care about the community at 60 and only care about the journey, then by all means sure. But I think having a level 60 community in HC is more impressive. Of course they don't, why would they? I love the spirit of camaraderie, I really do (I help people where I can in wrath classic), but think about it from their perspective: They don't know if you screwed up your pull, how many are actually agroed, what your potion situation is, if you're intending to kill or run from the mobs, are you good enough of a player to read what they'll do next with no communication, who's expected to tank the mobs - there's dozens and dozens of variables that a player has to consider before helping another one out in HC wow. Because interference, no matter how well-meaning, could *easily* get them killed. Edit: and as far as being in trouble goes, it's hard for someone to know if another is actually in trouble. I was in thousand needles farming tin on my pally and saw a hunter at almost no HP against a huge elite panther 1 attack away from killing him. I hammer of wrathed and killed the tiger, gave him Kings and dipped. Later it occurred to me that he could have been trying to tame it (granted he had no mana no HP) and I could have healed him instead of killing it. But ultimately, I didn't know if he wanted it dead or alive and I should have thought about that before engaging. So there's just so so SO many variables to consider before intervening.
Heres my question. Isnt there a way to emergency pull the plug on your computer or hit the resetbuttong so in a last ditch attempt itll shut down your computer and your character wont die?
Just careful using /startattack macros in your abilities when runing away, like /startattack + /shield wall etc etc.. becouse you will autoatack, when turning for no being daze and you will reset the leech
i love how "hardcore" players can just make up rules, like no paladin bubblehearth, warlock stones no nameplates, no zooming out, target of target off. like DUDE i beat the game when you were still in 2nd grade and you dont know death til you fall through the map or server crashes when high population hit.

said it once and i'll say it again, shannon got ozzy killed due to not sheeping any of the ogres. if you arent going to AOE blast the three ogres you need to CC one or you will get overwhelmed even with world buffs
I kind of agree with Asmon, Ozy should have kited when the mage used frost nova to root the enforcers to let his stacks drop off, however, the fact that the pally just kind of dipped didn't help the situation. Ozy not using his Shield Block not nearly enough didn't help either. I also agree with Asmon that it was not Xaryu's fault that Ozy died.
10:00 that's the perfect spot for a mage as you have frost ward (which he doesn't even have on his bar) and you can do you're regular cc bs with warriors. No, his mistake is no mana, mana is life for a mage.
Why did the pally Healer not use LOA or Bop the the tank to save him from dying. Also tank not using shield block as often as it should be used. Fail for both tank/healer.
I don't play with nameplates (of allies), although I use them for enemies. But I have only 1 smartphone in my life, so maybe I'm only half way to noob city.

Also i have to agree about the nameplate thing. Nameplates are there for unaware people who havent played the game for 20 years straight, turn them on. They will help unskilled players a lot.
That wizard in Duskwood vs the skellies, could have lived, had he only bought the cold ward protection spell that absorbs an amount of cold damage. It wasn't on his bar, so I presume he didn't bought it...
He will not last. HC challenge really isn’t about skill, or the situational awareness that you have at all time when backseat gaming(like he was doing in the vid). So many rank 1 pvpers died trying this shit, because it’s about keeping the situational awareness at all time thru the mind numbing journey of classic wow leveling. Plus, dudes a streamer. 1. He will be griefed 2. It’s not entertaining to play it safe. Xar was entertaining because he solod a lot of dangerous quests. Asmon will have to play it safe to last, but it will not be entertaining and he will not have the patience to kill green mobs over and over in the world. Remember how he leveled his warrior post 40 during classic launch? He sat in the dungeon. Asmon should stay away.

Reminds me of griefing and PKing in Lineage 2, max C2 or C3. You could kite a train of mobs on unsuspecting farmers who were in full A grade and they would drop their loot if killed by mobs.
This looks kinda different than current wow's leveling. In this one people die in 1 wrong pull no questions asked, in current wow I could pull the entire zone and still wont fall below 80% hp
@@TheLeadhound My first Warlock died to an elevator. I found that they lower at the same speed players fall and I ended up dying. Second time around I progressed faster since I knew what the early abilities did and which were good vs bad. I put it on hold for a bit to play some other games that had some big updates I was interested in. Idk if Wow Classic has released their official Hardcore server yet, but if so I may wait to try out their implementation.
