Really appreciate your run through of how & why you use your different spells & your buffing & optimal positioning, etc. Please keep doing these “instructional” videos. :)
Hi, i've only seen a few of your videos but i have a major soft spot for holy pally enthusiasts. I played a holy pally from vanilla till wotlk. Now in classic i ofc play a holy pally. My healstyle: Spam fol and keep to tank between 80-100% health. Never overheal (duh). If you see the the tsnk drop fast pop divine favor and HL him. Loh is indeed very usefull but i only pop it when i'm about to oom. Fol is amazing and even if the tank is at 10% you can keep him up for a pretty long time. The reason why fol is so good is that it very mana efficient. Hl is not. If you spam fol all the time you have more chance of critting heals and get your mana back. Don't bother with the 5 sec rule. Focus on fol and keeping the tank above 80%. It's easier and more relaxed than always having the 5 sec rule in your head. You can always pop loh when ure oom. Another tip: blessing of salvation on mages. 30% aggro reduction really helps. Remember: dmg which isn't dealt doesn't need to be healed. So good job on stunning! That's how you play a pally healer.
The way to maximize the 5s rule is to always be casting but not letting them land unless they need to. The 5s rule starts at the end of a cast not at the start or during.
As a long time holy paladin player one suggestion is bind some keys to your auras. Holy pally’s should aura change like a warrior stance dances. Use it as often as you need between extra armor and concentration for 100% spell pushback resistance or thorns / concentration. The little bit of extra armor is nice and all but don’t set it and forget it. It costs zero mana to change auras and can easily be weaved in between other spells.
Great to see you in action again. :) Kinda stopped watching your BFA videos/stream due to the fact its the same stuff all over again. Raid / mythic plus.:) nothing on your way of playing but the way retail works.. ive seen it now.. But seeing you here.. awesome man! :)
I'd really appreciate seeing a fully mapping on how you do your UI and Profile. I have a holy pally main spec and Have been trying to integrate healbot within my parties names the way you have, it would be so much easier and saving deskpace. A list of addon's would be brilliant if you could provide. great vid. thank you!
Thanks for this video, also I'm playing Paly Holy but I'm always low level. I can't compare with other healer classes at the same level but it seems to be difficult to heal as the paladin. So times it was very limit. I don't have healer experience so if you proceed with other Paladin Holy video it will fantastic.
Think of FoL like a pseudo HoT. I understand wanting to focus HL to get ticks on spirit, but the spirit mana gain is going to be more than offset by the reduction of HpM of HL. Once you stack some +Healing FoL gets INSANE efficient. My playstyle is FoL spam until tank hits 50% or so, pull him back up with 1-2 HL then back to FoL spam.
Hey MadSkillz, I just wanted to thank you for all your videos that are always helpful. If I wanted to get your UI for classic where can I find it? I know I need to be a follower or supporter of yours and I'm more then willing to do it so that wouldn't be a problem. Thanks!
Sorry I'm new at the game and playing a pala healer at Scarlet Monastery the tank got mad at me cuz didn't want my seal of righteousness buff up, can someone explain to me why ?
With all the talk about spell pushback, I'm surprised you don't just make yourself immune to it. Paladin is uniquely able to make themselves immune, and for free
@@batwingpie auto attacks dont cost mana. I understand his weariness with the shield slams but he can also be maintaining judgments with his autos, like using justice to keep mobs from fleeing.
