Crazy how injuries found a gem in Brock purdy but also ruined this game no way to win when your fourth string is out and your current qb can’t throw sad to see such a legendary game that could get Brock in the super bowl ruined by injury
With an early injury to Purdy and then the injury to Johnson, there was no way the Niners could get first downs and keep our defense off the field. They got tired. In nearly every game, the offense wants to wear down the defense so that they can run the ball more effectively late in the game. If Purdy had not been injured ~ it would have been a VERY different game.
If only that bad luck meteor did not fall out of the sky three times and injuring Purdy once and the 4th stringer twice. If only Hurts put more air on that throw Brown would have scored. "If only" disgruntled fans could admit the truth without excuses, the better team if only won.

Purdy went down which turned out to be a fumble, Warner went down early but came back, Nick Bosa got hurt before stepping on the field for a drive, Josh johnson fumbled & left game for a concussion, PENALTIES & Missed Calls, Ran for the rest of the game… only thing I found funny was when Big T dragged mans down & a lil fight broke out. 😂 I jus accepted the L, excuses won’t change shi.
I was 4 rows up behind the end zone at this game! The 49ers were still in it with a number 4 QB. Once he went down (for a pretend concussion) the game was over.
The game was over 7 minutes into the game. If you get a chance, go back and watch the full game, so much more went on in this game. As a Niner fan, I'm not so much upset we lost, more so than upset we really never had a shot after Purdy hurt his arm. All I wanted was a clean healthy game between two titans but hey, that's football.
Yeah bro I was a little disappointed watching the highlights. We ain’t get a chance to see Deebo and Kittle at their best. Eagles defense ain’t really get challenged
As an eagles fan my biggest fear was a shoot out between us, it would’ve been spectacular. Still a hard fought game but good luck next yr with injuries and your qb competition

5 minutes and 20 seconds in, bosa almost getting the sack forna safety... as i was only 4 rows up behind that specific endzone, i yelled out to bosa as he was getting set, "get that mother phucker, Bosa!" While i yelled that, i was waving my 49ers beanie/skull cap, i swear he looked up and made eye contact with me... then almost got that fool in the endzone. It was one of the coolest moments for me. The next one is the CMC running TD, where he broke about 4 tackles to get in. I have that recorded and saved in my phone... the same endzone he scored in just off to the left about 50 feet.
9ers didn’t have a qb the whole 2nd half, what a terrible way to end the season, came all this way just to lose in the nfc championship with the 4th string qb getting hurt
The 4th stringer did not get hurt, he was concussed twice and the starter's elbow was blown up by the #1 pass rush of a history making defense. Injuries like that happen for a reason, its not bad luck. Question is are the Giants as bad as Philadelphia made the 49ers look?
It's been covered in the comments, but watching the game i never really felt like Philly was in complete control until halfway through the 3rd quarter. Makes you wonder how it would've played out had Purdy remained healthy. I'm not saying we would've won but i think this game becomes a nail biter. That being said i also won't make excuses, we gotta play the hand we were dealt. We defied the odds all year and it finally caught up to us. I'd take the walk over win too if the roles were reversed. Hopefully we'll draw each other next year in the regular season and we can duke it out again with 2 healthy squads. GG Birds, good luck Chiefs and Bengals look great.

Feeling like you would've had a fighting chance had you stayed healthy based off of the stats of the game, is not the same as nit picking particular plays like i could have sat there and done, but chose not to do because i'm not a sore loser. 49ers o-line was SH*T compared to eagles d-line. Who ever thought to put a TE against Reddick or Johnson (cant remember) was an idiot. PHL defense is immaculate, the best in the league! Even with purdy(their THIRD string QB cause they clearly cant protect their QBs for sh*t), they would've lost! 70+ sacks the entire season and you think philly defense wasnt gonna keep putting on the pressure.... LOL and 11 niner penalties (some of which gave eagles several first downs) vs. PHL's 4 penalties. You cannot say the eagles were making the 49ers look like the giants. Johnson was playing like a high schooler in the NFL, scared and timid. He faked a concussion to get out of the heat. Purdy couldnt throw, so the defense knew every play was a run... the eagles were not playing the 49ers... as soon as purdy took that injury on the first drive.
Man... sucks that Purdy got hurt but San Fran needs to figure out why they can't protect their QBs and keep them healthy lol... Our D line and O line DOMINATED this game. People complaining about refs, a good portion or those calls were valid. There were missed calls on both sides. And with the fight there's always people hanging on in scrums like that... Trent Williams coulda seriously hurt Wallace pulling him down like that... Not saying Philly wasn't completely at fault but yall Niners were already cooked... Ya'll had a good season but the Eagles desimated ya'll at the line on both sides of the ball and then ya'll got frustrated and sloppy and ended up taking yourselves out lmao... The 49ers came to play a football game, and the Eagles were only interested in a street fight. You missed most of the game fast forwarding through it. You missed multiple flags. The refs sucked so bad on this game. If you were a 49er and you picked your nose on the line of scrimmage, you were getting a flag. You missed the body slam and the game ejections. 9ers got slammed with 11 mostly bs penalties. Of the 24 first downs 11 of them were given to the Eagles by bullshit ref penalties. The Eagles spent the entire first half just trying to literally take players out, painfully. Picking up players that were already on their back, getting picked back up, and slammed back to the ground, with no penalty. It was bullsh@t. The 4th string also got a concussion.
No, the fourth stringer had two concussions see my main comment for the time stamps for the first one. The dirty birds play like the Broad Street Bullies, physically violating grown men. Its so offensive to watch men being violated like that but its effective for getting to the Super Bowl.

Man this game was bullshit Niner’s didn’t even get a chance to show eagles what they had Purdy couldn’t throw bc of his nerve damage they forced him back in once QB4 got a concussion. Niners defense showed out though they had Hurts scared he didn’t play like he normally did and didn’t throw those money throws. I’m sad Trent Williams didn’t need to go out this way he worked too hard and wanted to retired with a superbowl ring. There was sooo many flags called this game it was insane. Niners defnese show TF out tho, offense couldn’t even get started. Jimmy G failed his physical he couldn’t sprint he wasn’t ready to play yet. Nick Bosa got hurt in the side lines. Kyle Shanny missed opportunities to challenge flags and didn’t - nature of the game injuries etc - it was sad to see the 49ers offense not having a chance to perform at all it didn’t feel like a normal 49ers game. Your team could not throw because the Philadelphia pass rush injured all the OBs you brought. Eagles beat the Giants ass with the same run game hardly any pass, near the same blowout score. Your defense showed up and got sent home by a lethal run game. Isn't run defense your teams best attribute?
