horse is still not happy, ears back. I wouldn't doubt if some horses are given a mild sedation. The guards need to be more consistent and vigilant. I know she was looking the other side but peripheral vision is important
Two signs are needed. One in each side. Too often there are people standing in front of the sign, plus people tend to focus on getting up there for their pic and have tunnel vision to their side.

They must bring Ormonde❤ back soon. I am anxious to see what he thinks of the new signs. That man is an official idiot. He stops within kicking distance of the horse and then put his son right behind it. There are definitely several horses who would have taken a pot shot at Mr. Stupid.
Need a Do Not Touch the Horse Petting Zoo is... with directions. Definitely with two signs on either side. Consistency of guards enforcing do not touch. I pray nothing tragic happens there. This looks like a disaster forthcoming. Some of these people appear to not be afraid of the police or the swords. Fines for disobeying the rules will definitely stop people.
Been saying that it is better for the horse's well being if people would stop touching the horse. I own 3 horses and no one but family members and rider are allowed to touch my horses.
@LondonCityWalks Just speak low and make a lot of hand gestures and in that way you can claim to have told them off in two languages French and Italian while doing it in a very British way.
wow, I just heard a loud get back from a lifeguard who yelled twice and had his sword standing straight instead of sloped, at two Asian ladies who came back twice during changing of the guard..very Impressive.
To be fair, the doors need to be closed once the horse is in the tunnel, stop thinking the general public has any brains!! Open the doors once one horse has left and the new horse has gone in then shut them firmly. Duty of care troopers, the female police officer had to fetch one father back from looking at one horse as he had left a baby in a pushchair unattended, no brains! It’s just like extreme bad weather at the coast, always a dad with a kid on his shoulders watching the waves crash over the wall ready to engulf both father and child! No brains see!
@@dittohead7044 maybe, some do shut the doors and some don’t, especially if the horse keeps looking behind and is small enough to turn around, it makes some want to leave the arch, so I suppose there is no hard and fast rule, or maybe there is. Some put up the chain across by the arches some don’t, so I am not sure if there is a rule about that, some people still enter the area, maybe John will tell us.

Love your comment about VW, as an Australian I laughed out loud at that. also believe that people are still getting to close to the horses. they should not be able get within the confines of the box in my opinion. Love your work mate.
John, Next time you see someone sneeking in like that, you should yell at them to get the guards attention. You never know it could very eadiily spook the horse.
@@sandib4234 I can, visit the Kings Troop where there. I wad trying to take a picture of the horse and trooper, so many idiots just pushed in. In the end I just asked to wait until I got my picture. They did.
I've often thought why not two signs, however you'd think in the digital age we shouldn't need any signs as the majority of the tourists will have the Internet and tour guides which should make things clear. I don't understand the fascination of standing so close by something so unpredictable, you wouldn't have anyone standing this close to another wild animal, after all this is what they are, just look at the ones which bolted not so long ago, and even during events Trooping, or Coronation etc you can see these acting up

These horse guards have arguably one of the finest uniforms currently in use in the world. Perhaps half a dozen around the world might be close. When I have my picture taken, admittedly not that often, I like to dress nicely for it. I really don't like the idea of there being photos of my dressed like a slob. I honestly don't understand all these people who have their photo taken of them dressed in such an inelegant manner next to such a magnificent equestrian visage. I know it's a hot summer day. I get it. But they do make proper attire that is light weight. Now granted, I remember when photos would cost $20 and up to have taken and that is per print if you wanted it professionally done. The only photos of me in less than appropriate attire would be from security footage. If I went through all the trouble to travel to another country or for that matter just another part of my own country to visit such a place and expected there was even a remote possibility that I might pose for a photo, I would be dressed nicely. I mean this is sort of like seeing a homeless bum posing next to someone in white tie and tails. In winter I would have a dark grey three piece suit and an appropriate hat and if needed a proper top coat and yes that includes a tie. I prefer a double Windsor now myself but some prefer the single. I like symmetry. I would probably have my pocket watch and chain and a carnation in my lapel. In summer perhaps a seersucker suit or at least something light weight. And if I AM going through all the trouble of traveling all the way to London I'm not leaving without a proper English style suit which I don't actually have at the moment. And If I have the suit then why not wear it? Granted I am used to Florida summers so wearing a wool suit when it's 30 c outside would not bother me. I wear long sleeves in 36 c all the time while carrying a back pack and riding a bicycle ten miles. 30 c is what we get on a cool spring day where I'm from lol.

That man and child that sneak through the box. If that horse had kicked, the child would have taken full hit on head and/or face. That horse has steel shoes on. Wth is wrong with that parent!
I didn’t know the guards try to follow a plant-based diet! I hope you’re serious, because I can be gullible! How cool is that! They probably smell better to the horses, now, as well as being less likely to develop diseases of our society like Type 3 diabetes (that’s not a typo). I’ve been vegetarian since 1972-73. Me too. I just couldn't figure out why they only put signs on one side of the box. Just like I couldn't figure out why they don't bring the drinking water out for the horse in a bucket on a push cart. Why bring the water out in a plastic carrier that the trooper has to carry with water splashing.

I still feel bad for the horses having to put up with the tourists coming right up next to the poor animal AND guard.. animals have personal space too.. smfh. Also, the tart with her gut hanging out that kept going back for another photo with her other Bimbo friends, hogging that side smfh. But all in all, if they are actually telling people to NOT TOUCH the poor horses altogether, thats a great start! Bout bloody time. Those poor animals having random people touch and fiddle with them all day smh. I hope this will be a set in stone thing, and signs put up.
The poor horses. They have been petted and patted most of the time, they wonder what they have done wrong now they aren't. Especially this one, he looks dejected and forlorn like. Poor horse. 😪
This is just all "tradition" and show. These troopers aren't really guarding anything. That guy with his son going through the box is a perfect example.
