Hey ladies, I see you like Detroit's finest Grand Funk Railroad. The singer /guitar also does the very best version of "The Locomotion" ever,bar none. Oh, and you want to see the singer, Mark Farner at his best,....ENJOY!!!. One of the best covers I've ever heard!!!. Oh, and by the way, I think it must be the same concert, because he is dressed the same way, for your entertainment.

The drummer "Don Brewer" was one of my biggest influences just below "John Bonham" of "Led Zeppelin" until I found out what he and the Bass player did to "Mark Farner". I wouldn't give him the time of day now. Most underrated band of the era IMHO! I still have every one of their records. Great Reaction!

Black Licorice by Grand Funk Railroad. From there live album Caught In The Act. There is a video of the song performed live you have to check out. The drummer sings lead vocals on this song.

Saw them in concert in Seattle in 1972, fabulous, the opening band was Bloodrock, and Grand Funk was on the Mark - so to speak.

NICE! One of my first 45 rpm's was their cover of THE LOCOMOTION along with Three Dog Night, The Fifth Dimension, Brownsville Station etc. Great stuff and Great Reaction Ladies!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎

The drummer used to come into the bank my mom worked at to deposit checks. She thought he was out of earshot and she said "I've never seen a check for that much money in my life." He heard her and turned around and smiled. My mom was mortified. She refused to get his autograph for me no matter how many times I asked. I did get his autograph one day in middle school when I checked the same book out he had when he was in middle school. I stole the library card.

There's other songs from this concert. This isn't the video I thought it was. It has clips from other songs in it. With the exception of some concert footage the other is from their "We're an American Band" promo video. One that has been a hit in 3 different decades, "The Locomotion". It was a hit in the sixties by Little Eva, in the seventies by these guys and again in the eighties by Kylie Minogue.

Thanks for the memories! I was lucky to see GFR back in their heyday of the early '70s. They always put on a great show. Mark Farner (the guy you were swooning over. lol) is fortunately still with us. He'll be 76 in September.

Grand Funk Railroad | Some Kind Of Wonderful !!! They were one of the bands that had a bad contract and lost rights to their early hits. There is more greats by them and I am sure you are going to hear about them..... That is if Donna doesn't already know. I will find out later when can watch the video. Can't wait to hear from you all with the great red hair. BTW you wouldn't like my hair today BUT in my youth. Silky smooth shoulder length .It was the '70s.

Yeah the only thing wrong with that performance is they didn't have a big ass church bell just sayen. The one great thing about Lulu growing up in this type of an atmosphere of music from the 60s and 70s and the 80s is it going to give her a completely different perspective of life and it's beginning to see things as they were in a beautiful time era. The late sixties and seventies was an amazing brotherly love and togetherness of we the people and if she does receive a 70's car which would be terrific I think she'll automatically turn into a 70s flower child there's only a few things that will be missing and that will be some bell bottoms peace sign headbands and of course let's not forget the ring belt and as I mentioned back in Pink Floyd comfortably numb she will be Queen of the cool kids table
