THIS is the prime example of why some should stick to Rap reactions lol... these men had no idea what they were listening to. Missed the concept of most songs spent talking about if the trench coat was coming off. The Reaction to “girl like me” proved the concept of the song but they were to busy talking about the ladies to even notice they played right into the concept lol.

I don't wanna be that guy but imma be that guy. The lyrical component of her songs weren't her necessarily talking about herself, she just used a lot of 1st person perspective to portray more relatable lyrics and emotion. With that being said, the women that she's speaking about are not women that are "hoes" the album is called "heux tales". Basically she used heux to juxtaposition the modern identity of hoe which generally corresponds to female bachelor rather than a woman selling her body for money. It's basically a project that expresses the hardships of female bachelors that keep being falsely identified as a street hoe for doing the same things their male counterparts do. On a number of occasion even tho it was jokingly heard male peers express their want to stay wit a chick because "that bitch can throw down in the kitchen" or "she bought my imac" tho they're not identified as hoe or with as much disgust if seen being done by a woman. So Jazmine's songs lyrically were a really good message if u have the curriculum to comprehend or articulate such poetry. I peep the knowledge from bro in the denim jacket. It was overall funny to watch i understand most were just jokes tho.

All the songs off her new EP are told from different types of women's perspective. In the last song they aren't telling us what men want, they are telling us how the "good girl" who is currently watching hoes win feels. If anything I think it shows that this girl doesn't know what men want. Even though "why these hoes be winning?" sounds rhetorical, its not. She's genuinely asking so she can change herself to be that because she's insecure and just wants to find love or not be alone. (Obviously this is all my interpretation and i could be wrong in some aspects)

"Let it Burn" comes from After 7's "Ready or Not." She did a performance with them.

So, from the perspective of the song it doesn't matter if heauxs don't win in the end - she was left for one, so she's singing "Why do they keep winning?" -- And to anyone who thinks otherwise, I always say this ... Even Beyoncé, J.Lo & Halle Berry got cheated on... 👀👀 So, there's a reason "Girl Like Me" (the song featuring H.E.R.) is one of the most streamed songs on the project.

From pausing in the pt. 1 video saying "I don't like her anymore, she's a gold digger" (funny how dudes with no gold are always the most worried about so-called "gold diggers"), mocking her at certain points, then arguing with the other 2 men in the middle of the reaction raising his voice at them that "She doesn't know what men want!", and ending it off with "That's why you're going to be watching Netflix alone"... Jesus, calm down! This is music and art, stop taking things so personal and literal. It's crazy how PLENTY of male artists have profited off of & gained support from playing up the "nice guy gone bad", "player", and "pimp" image for decades on end rapping/singing about how many women they sleep with, how many women's hearts they've broken, how they see women as objects, and will still be old af still singing/rapping about the same shit they did at 20, still with no wife or solid family unit, except for a bunch of baby mamas & broken homes everywhere... at best. But NO ONE tells them to "Choose better" women, "That's why he's still single", or that they're "sending a bad message" to the world, but let Jazmine & H.E.R. do slightly the same thing in 1 song and dude's about to pop a blood vessel. This reaction is SO SO SO good because it shows exactly why there is such a divide in humanity period, but particularly between men and women. Six beautiful black KINGS incapable of objectively listening to two women sing from a real place without talking over them and criticizing their experience.
