I've only been following NHL and the Oilers since 2017 but let me tell you, I bawled like a baby when we advanced to the Finals and again when we won Game 6. I'm Australian we just don't get exposure to hockey over here, hence my late following of hockey. If we pull this off I will be so stoked. Let's go Oilers!

I know, eh? And if you go back to the third period of Game 3, it's actually 20 goals for Edmonton vs. only 5 for Florida. That's a 4-to-1 goal advantage over the last 10 periods.

Grew up a Wpg jet fan - hated gretz, mess - they always dominated us - from Hawerchuk to Zhamnov. I moved to Calgary, Jets Moved to Phoenix. Then late 90's moved to Edmonton. FF to '06 - been without a team for 10 years, but watched every game of that march to the finals and finally found my team - Oilers! Been a huge Oiler fan ever since, of course after that SC run, we went through the Decade of darkness, Oh great. So first I watch my Jets get pummeled by the Oilers, now that I'm cheering for the enemy, I'm watching EVERY team pummel the Oilers, and not for a year or two - but for TEN years. I'm almost 60 now, THIS is my comeuppance. Oilers will win as the hockey gods OWE ME big time. This is why they went down 3 to 0 - to make sure my first true Stanley Cup win cheering for a team I'm totally invested in is the most special of all. But TBH, even if it doesn't happen, I won't curse those gods (well maybe a little) - I've never been so proud of a team I've ever been behind (I cheered my Jets on to THREE Avco cups so I"m not without a championship, including being in the Wpg arena for the last win ever in that league over.... yep a 17 year old Wayne Gretzky and the Oilers - 7 to 4 IIRC (and no I didn't google but it was a long time ago). Thanks for taking this to game 7 - and for all CANADIAN hockey fans out there please cheer this ONE time for a CANADIAN team - as if we do win in this manner, it will give you hope for YOUR team in your next playoff run. You can look at this playoff, this final, and know that yes, it is possible as a CANADIAN team to come back and win.

Iagree like I said in another video. I was scared to play Col or Bruins over any other team. I was even surprised we were down 3 because Oilers should have won 2 of those 3 games. we have a 2nd year nhl goalie who was backup and Knobs, hes a rookie Coach. However, overall Edmonton has the best team chemistry in opinion and they trust each other and you can see it when they play. They read ice and most times know where each other are. They're well coordinated, unity in strength!

Holland signed all 2 way defensibly responsible hockey guys with a shit ton of experience. Corey Perry basically one of the goats of all time as a leader too. None of this was a mistake, some great moves were made to create this.

A lot of the times those guys do the dirty work but don’t put up points. Now that our bottom 6 is doing both this team looks great. Game 7 will be fun and nerve racking

@@terryprockiw3831 We've had depth for a bit but everyone is literally just ignorant to how good this team is lol After shitting the bed so bad at the start of the season, we sat just far enough back in the standings that nobody noticed. These people don't actually watch the Oilers, they just see highlights and assume the NHL is just glazing McDavid. We've had one of the best records in the league sinse january lol

Their line is super solid, almost never misses and just brings simple, direct, gritty hockey. They are wonderful to watch.

I love how in some ways they are your typical fourth line in how they grind but they’re also not typical in how they FLY and seem to get breakaways every third shift. It’s amazing.

Those were gory days. It’s the kind of memory one never forgets. I remember going downtown and being with all the fans there it was great.

I want nothing more than for my two little ones to see the oilers hoist the cup. I got to see all 5 of the previous and only really remember the last 3.

Game 7 Stanley Cup Final overtime has only ever happened twice in NHL history, in 1950 and 1954. Detroit won both of those. Wouldn't that be something to see overtime happen this year. If McDavid would win the cup with an overtime goal, he would always remain an NHL legend.

imo, a lot of players are starting to gain confidence at just the right time. the way the oilers played tonight made the panthers look sluggish, I wonder if they are edging them out in speed or maybe the panthers are second guessing themselves. the slight edge in speed might make all the difference in tipping the scales in Edmonton's favour, since the room for error at this point in the series is now so small. every little bit counts, but GL to both sides and congratulations to the Oilers for blossoming into such a powerful team right before our eyes

Florida is not used to all the travel, Edmonton is.

@@Hexadecimal_QueenofChaos Someone did the work to figure out how fast these teams are skating and they said the Oilers are skating 2 mph faster than Florida is skating on average. That means the Oilers tend to be 3-4 steps ahead of them most of the time.

yeah, when he scored that goal against the Cats, and Zach was out of his mind, I told everyone remember the crowd was that crazy loud when he scored that first goal early in the year, we were so excited to see his comeback starting.
