All of the flashlights are BC GEAR by RoadPro out of Elizabethtown, PA. NOT distributed by Greenbrier. The small aluminum clip light is also extendable. Not by very much, but extendable.

I get underwear and jump ropes from different places, however, I’ve gotten most of each from Walmart. Not recently though. I bought a ton of jump ropes two years ago from Walmart after summer clearance when they went to 90% off, so I got them for $.10 each. I bought two boxes of them and have been using them up since then. Underwear, again, I’ve gotten most of it from Walmart, but from a couple of years ago when I used to be able to find 5 count, 7 count, even 14 count underwear for $1 per pkg. I stocked up at those prices, but I don’t find those deals anymore. Those were after Covid prices in 2021. I also bought some at Walmart online at the beginning of 2022, not as cheap as $1, but a pretty good deal. I think I have just enough girls underwear to get me through 2024 shoeboxes. I may have to start putting only one pair in each box instead of two, especially boys underwear. Running low.
Great finds! It is odd those shorts have a faux string inside, maybe they are factory seconds/irregulars which is why they are selling fo $1.25, I hope I find them in my stores! 💕
Hi Debra. Yes, they probably are seconds, but I don’t think because of the drawstring, which is not really a drawstring. It’s just a 4 inch long cord tacked in the center to look like a drawstring. It does not go all the way through the waistband. 🤔 😆
Still nothing here! Maybe I'll branch out and try some other stores. The flashlights look great. I find it odd that the toy aisles haven't been stocked up in my stores this holiday season. 🤷🏼♀️
Well, boo! I’m sure you have checked the Christmas aisle for toys, too, but I noticed some stores have put the new toys in the Christmas aisle, as stocking stuffer ideas.

Great finds, Trish! The crystal lab kits are a wow! Very cool flashlights! I bet those sold out quick at my DTs. I never saw them at my stores. Very impressed with the flashlights. Thanks, Sharon. The flashlights did go quickly. I wound up swapping out the 2 styles that took the flat cell batteries, with the 2 styles that took AA or AAA batteries. Although, I’ll be sending replacement batteries, the more I thought about it, I figured the AA and AAA batteries are likely easier to come by and less expensive in some of the countries where our shoeboxes go. I hope you can find the transformers Carol. They are really nice, IMO. My stores sold out of them lickety-split, but since they are Turbo Wheels I’m hoping they will replenish them.
The wavy checker board blank book reminds me of a checkered flag that you see at the end of a car race. I think it would be cute in a race car themed box. I haven’t seen it at my dollar tree. but now i want to go DT shopping! 😊
Thanks for sharing your finds. It helps me shop better. How do you know if an item is a penny? Is there a special clearance section at your stores? My store doesn't have a ckearance section.
You’re welcome, Annette. Regarding penny items and clearance, they are two different things. Some Dollar Tree stores do have some clearance, but it’s not much, sometimes only a small shelf or table full and it’s not in any specific location. It depends on the store, but you won’t find penny items in clearance. Typically, clearance consists of merchandise that is slightly damaged or part of the contents of the package is missing, the packaging is damaged or it may be food that has reached its expiration date. Merchandise that rings up for a penny is merchandise that has been “marked out of stock” or “to salvage”. When this is done, it is typically done corporately. The store management is supposed to locate that merchandise, pull it off the floor and destroy it. It is not supposed to be sold at one cent. Sometimes the store locations “miss the memo” so to speak and the merchandise remains on the sales floor. If you are lucky enough to find some of this merchandise, you may be able to purchase it for one penny each. However, in my experience, and from what the managers have told me, they are supposed to destroy the merchandise, so they would rather throw it in a dumpster than sell it for one penny. The best way to be able to purchase it is in conjunction with a larger order that includes regular price $1.25 items or at self check out. The best way to find penny merchandise is to know what you’re looking for. The best way to know what you’re looking for is to keep up with OCC posters on social media, ie, Facebook groups, Instagram, and RU-vid. (Typically, someone purchased an item thinking it was $1.25, but when they checked their receipt it rang up for $.01. They post that information on one of the social media platforms, and that information spreads from one platform to another.) I hope my explanation makes sense and is helpful. Merry Christmas! 🎄
