This is special -thanks for sharing Stevie you were rocking that crowd and it sounds like Pete was really enjoying Ringo and the intro backstage.Ahhaha The meeting between the Beatles drummers is historical and hysterical. But mostly hysterical. I can imagine them going off to make toast together. Ringo would probably end up eating all the toast mind.

I laughed so much at the way Steve picked up on Ringo's affectation of pronouncing 'and' as "eaond"...I used to be shocked when I first heard Ringo several years ago, say that weird thing..and wondered if it was just me imagining it

This shows what a great guy Pete Best is. Pete was really hurt financially when he was fired from The Beatles. He went through all the grunt work to get to the top and as soon as they reached it the other three threw him back to the bottom. Real shame.

I'm pretty sure they'd already met at some point in the 60's before Ringo Starr became a Beatle. Although I think Pete Best was absent during most of the times that Ringo and his future bandmates were seen together.

Ringo "meets" Pete Best? I believe they were old mates from the pubs of Liverpool when Ringo was with Rory Storm and filled in on drums for the Beatles whenever Pete called in sick which was all the time.
