Her shoe string was untied. Also, I keep saying this about ShaCarri running on that track…I have noticed she runs fast there when she’s off the gas, but slow when she tries. I truly think between the bouncy track, bouncy shoes, and her mechanics, this track makes her bounce around when she puts down all her force to the ground. Although this seems to be from her shoe, we can go back to her being last place at Prefontaine, and this same thing happened to her at the start…bouncing around. This track isn’t good for ShaCarri.
Was not surprised. I figured something would happen. And she scared the living daylight out of me. She is really our only hope for a medal in the women 100 meters. I just didn't want her to false start because even if she late start. She still will able to catch tje rest of the field. You can tell she is under a lot of pressure to perform. Especially since she won the world championship. She just not trying to show it. Pressure can either make you or break you. I just hope she can keep it together in the trails. Then be mentally prepared in the Olympics.
For those wondering what happen to her from the first step coming out of the block her back leg over extended to where she wasn’t comfortable causing her to slip forward and stumble
That performance by Sha' carri should be enough to answer any lingering questions and silence all of the doubters. The 100m Olympic gold is hers to lose.
Really against other Americans. Some of which can't spell track. Ypu people are easy. She is lucky she didn't step on the line. Would love to see how they would have hidden that.
@kyngnick8723 Much faster athletes to work with Sha'carri, that world record is indeed under threat. Now I feel like cussing, when Jamaica should have blown that world record to the moon we were playing games . Ahh bwoy, mi a gwaan hol di faith
I love that Sha'carri has finally become a grown up. All I hope for is that she doesn't become another obnoxious Ronda Rousey. Take it to the next level Sha'carri, your USA fans are pulling for you.
4 runners under 11, ShaCarri, the oldest is 24. Fastest couldn't run due to injury. Also under 23. U.S. Women are a PROBLEM for the next decade. Prandini ran an 11.03. For her, that is being in great shape. Abby was ...ok. Right now I got Jefferson leading off, to McKenzie on the backstretch, Prandini on the turn and ShaCarri bringing it home. Things can change by tomorrow. Whatcha think T?
@Prodigalzson Agreed, they will have a strong team for years to come plus there's always a new star as well. That relay construct doesn't bad but Idk how US is going to work it because the likes of Gabby, TT, and Tamari are also strong options and all of those athletes ran in the finals last year as well.
@mikecowan-tu6up Even making the relay pool will be tough. Remember only 5 for the men's 4x4 and 2 for the mixed relays. Wishing him all the best though, he's an amazing junior
This obvious is true, but if you dissect this, she shut down 10-12 meters out... so maybe a 10.78 without shutdown... it may have medal'd.... but yeah, it would have been tought to medal... but absolutely she would not have lost ... lost as in "last?" or?
OMG, T…another great video and analysis from you! McKenzie long looks amazing, and that did look easy for her. It’s interesting she had such an amazing start, given she is usually slow out of the blocks, and she definitely looked dangerous. I don’t completely agree about Melissa Jefferson…I was insanely impressed with her mechanics and how easy this looked to her. I’m a little disappointed in what is see in Aleia Hobbs…she appeared to be using more effort than I would have expected, although she is one of those runners who is hard to assess as well. ShaCarri, WOW, her right shoe was untied, that was a terrible slip up, but she got back with the back by 15-20 meters, which is much sooner than one should expect. 10.88 given all we witnessed is even more amazing…she appears to be in 10.6 form for sure. I cannot wait to see the finals tonight and who makes the team. I at first assumed ShaCarri, Aleia, and a fight between Melissa/Tamari/McKenzie. However, right now, I only have ShaCarri and scratching my head! LOL
Apart from Alfread i don't see anybody else to stop the USA sweep of the 100m and the 200m. Its looking like if you are not running like 10.9s you might not make semis.
@FinancialBasicsMastery-tb8rk Whilst I agree that Sha'carri looks like a solid favourite, let's wait to see if JM is coming with anything at the trials next week. Also the mens 100m is wide open
@FinancialBasicsMastery-tb8rk Hmm, so you are counting Shericka out for the 200m win...that's an interesting take but let's wait until next week to see where our athletes are.
@@TxTTracktime Honestly, yes I'm counting out Shericka for the win so far from what I'm seeing. I don't think she is the shape like last year. I heard what Stephen Francis said in the interview but I don't buy that. That's just my thoughts but as you said I will watch and see what happens at our Trials and we can revisit this comment lol.
@@TxTTracktime daaaang or Dan lol. suh you must excited over every track athlete and don't follow other Jamaican vloggers culturizing the sport. open minded about athletics BUILD YOUR CHANNEL BIGGER BROADER AND QUICKER .. .. Total running production knows everything that happens in jamaica and he's not Jamaican... ... and he doesn't play to give credit to where credit is due when it comes to Jamaican much less to say any great athlete in sports. 👍⭐️. It's good to see you coming along with shacarri
If she's going to do break it she'll do it in Eugene at her Trials That is why the USA always have their trials there. Thats where Sydney broke the 400h record twice, Noah ran the American record in the 200m and even Gabby Thomas has ran her PBs. Thats one of the fastest tracks in the world.
btw T.....do you notice that USA Nationals is longer this year with the 100 and 200 a week apart? Last year their trials was about 4 days, just like ours. I haven't heard why they changes BUT my guess would be to give Noah a fully rested shot at the 200m WR. Thats my theory.
@user-oq7ji2rx4l I did realize that it is longer this year as it's always run over a similar time frame as ours, however I haven't thought about why though. If I had to guess, going in a lot of persons were attempting 2/4 and 4/4h double so maybe the adjusting happen because of that. However those people have now withdrawn from one of the events. But you could be onto something but idk.
Well that's how they usually do it. The olympic trials are usually 10 days, while the us championships are usually 4 days. Why they set it up that way, idk but that's how they normally do it.
@joykeel3332 I just looked looked up the results from 2021 and the US Trials lasted 7 days. This year its 10 with no events on the 25th & 26th (days of rest). I'm still going to hold on to my theory 🤣🤣
@@jake100mi5 first off I didn’t say “CAN’T”, that’s very different from unlikely, unless you’re trying to be arrogant and argumentative! Nonetheless I’ll oblige you as briefly as possible! Though her PB is 10:65(same as Shericka’s) neither have been running near that, as such SAFP has more 10:6s but the same applies! If everyone runs their PBs, ShaCarri could miss the podium as Elaine is faster too! Nobody is running 10:7s consistently, but several others are equally capable and again if they do ShaCarri is in jeopardy! I contend that Jackson could have won Worlds if she ran without focusing on Shelly, who was next to her and viewed as the only threat! If ShaCarri was placed in the preferred lanes, doubt her winning as she generally does run well when she is in the thick of it! Against equally capable competitors ShaCarri has balked, so I wait! Winning is an “on-the-day” thing no matter how good you look before! Luckily for ShaCarri there’s one less capable runner(Sears) to face! The stage has not fully been experienced, the Olympics with its pageantry, history and pressure, is a different beast when the lights are bright!
Winning in Budapest was somewhat lucky…let’s just say everything worked out perfectly for her! First ShaCarri was placed in with the best competition, that lane draw ensured no one focused on her, plus her finishing 3rd in her semi likely made others write her off! Jackson had already ran 10:65 but was focused on Shelly as her likely competition, all that was required to win was to be a step ahead no need to blaze the track! Furthermore there’s the 200 to think about! What occurred in Budapest is unlikely to repeat in Paris, it’s very likely ShaCarri will be front n center and the spotlight will be brighter, in such a situation many has balked or worse failed to be at their best, I’m yet to see ShaCarri perform in such a position! I contend as pressure burst pipe, it will be felt here! The pressure won’t be turning her into a diamond as many believe! However like everyone else I’ll wait n see!
