THIS is what the SS86 line should be, not repaints or minor retools of Earthrise or other lines. We need a proper SS86 Soundwave with this level of care and craft.
Just because some figures from earth rise we’re good and some people might have missed out on them doesn’t mean we still want them it just means they have a chance to give us a better figure
I preordered one too 😮💨 when I saw on instagram that hasbro said that he was up for preorder I thought “cmon man it’s either now or never (aka super extremely expensive in the future$” I had no choice but to preorder it
SS86 Optimus Prime looks amazing! Obviously that’s an understatement!! I’m also excited for TF One Megatron and when they reveal that Gamer Edition Ratchet!
KGDM and SS86 Optimuses are both amazing! They are the kings of the CHUG G1 Optimus Prime! I'm commenting this after WFC Ratchet and TF: One Megatron/D-16 have been revealed and they look great!
"Sorry I'm late, hit a bit of traffic". SS86 Optimus is literally exactly as I imaged him to be. Simply, clearly better than KGDM, but not by any significant degree making KGDM obsolete and trash now. KGDM is still absolutely amazing and will forever remain so, but SS86 is better; simply an edge up. Both KGDM and SS86 Optimuses are so amazing that they can easily coexist as the kings of the CHUG G1 Optimus Prime. He looks absolutely amazing, I love him. Great design and articulation and everything! I love that he includes great blast effects, Energon Axe, Roller, Command Drone, and an amazing Trailer! I don't know if I'll get him, but if I do, I'll never ever, ever get rid of KGDM Optimus cuz I absolutely love him! Legacy Roadpig looks perfectly fine. I think he looks quite cool. Not sure if I'll get him, but I might. Idk. Figure listings sound amazing, can't wait! At the time of commenting, WFC Ratchet, BBM Frenzy, and TF: One Megatron/D-16 have been revealed and they look great!
From the US here. I'm so happy I managed to lock in my pre-order for Commander Prime. I even went as far as to cancel my pre-order for the Earthrise Prime reissue because this really does look superior in every way.
I'm looking forward to a REAL G1 Ultra Magnus using this 86 movie Prime mold. How sick would it be to see that mold with battle armor as Ultra Magnus and Delta Magnus?!?
Got my preorder in on time as with Ultra Magnus this is not one to miss even for a casual collector like myself. Despite the Commander Class price point recent reveals have shown this Prime to be significantly larger than the Earthrise Voyager, standing even taller than the Rodimus Prime. Though the trailer is mostly an accessory, it's awesome to see one proportionately in scale with the cab as the original G1 toy was and no longer a shrunken down version like the Earthrise. Would have been nice to see some [painted detail with the Matrix chamber but outside of that he's about as perfect as you can get outside of paying for a MP.
I'm excited as everyone else with SS86 Prime, but I'm also excited for a SS Scale for Lucky Cat's BB and Prime, looks absolutely great and I'm glad to buy them at a reasonable scale and hopefully a good price as well 🙏
already got ss86 preordered! was able to snag it with some credit from BBTS so I can get it for free! also super excited for lucky cat upscaling their bbm movie optimus he is definitely gonna be the main prime in my BBM/ROTB display!
Me too, but it’ll never happen because of his transformation unless they pull some shit and make him that tank from the Transformers devastation game, but it’s still wouldn’t be true to the series.
Ironically and weirdly enough, the headsculpt on regular Volvo Prime is what sold me on the idea of SS86 Prime. Beforehand I was just against it because it seemed so unnecessary and also lame that the first inaugural figures for SS commander are G1 characters. However, Volvo Primes’ headsculpt sold me. For some reason, it got me to change my mind. And commander Prime looks awesome. Just a shame they didn’t use Volvo Prime’s head.
Gamestop Canada just put up their preorder for prime, managed to snag 3 for my collection/displays to replace my earthrise primes. I cannot wait to get my hands on this epic prime.
I'm glad that they gave Optimus Prime the Commander Class, cause even though Rodimus Prime looked cool in the same class, Optimus needed that class as well and not just the smaller (now) Leader class. I need to try and get Rodimus, but I really need the New Commander Class Optimus to be full circle. Also, the new Upscale BumbleBee Optimus topping the SS-38 just blew my mind with the details and the fact that it transforms, so I also need it LOL.
Ok, I have to say that SS CC OP is gonna be dope! I can't wait to get him in hand! I am so happy it's not a redeco of the earthrise version. If it is anything like the Ultra Magnus we got last year then it will be a mini masterpiece!!!!
Been curious when the SS86 prime would come out. Just ordered it! Been debating purchasing an MP version because I didn’t think it would happen any time soon. Now for Megatron.
