I am a public school teacher of 22 years. This is the typical reaction we get from parents nowadays when we call their kids out on ANYTHING. Within the next four years, many of my colleagues and I will be retiring out of sheer exhaustion, frustration, and fear. In my classroom, a child who behaves like this one will be made to apologize and have a privilege taken from her, and her parents notified. However, that's when the hammer comes down on me from the parents. Two more years, two more years, two more years I keep telling myself.

If someone called my daughter rude, and it turned out she’d sworn at someone for no reason, she’d be losing privileges for a week. And be forced to apologise to the person she was rude to. This mother though: “Nah I’ll blame the person who she was needlessly rude to.”

I’m not knocking her, because I was super heavy at her age too, but she’s GOT to break free of her mother’s diet. She’s probably doing terrible in school and completely lethargic all the time. So her body tells her to eat more sugar to get more energy, and the cycle repeats itself daily while her health and behavioral problems suffer. I genuinely don’t blame the kid at all, but here’s the real kicker. She’s only 5-10 years away from being an age where society will blame her instead of her parents/mother, and then her emotional state will cause her to lean even harder into her habits. Namely eating terrible foods and blaming genetics. Although genetics are definitely a gift and burden to every individual, most of us got more burdens than gifts in the genetic department, and with the state of what’s acceptable to call “food” now, the onus is on society to make the changes that corporations can’t. And yes, I mean can’t. I’m an attorney and I know exactly how the laws regulating corporations work and, if a change cuts into profits margins that change CANNOT be implemented unless those margins will be made up down the line. Corporations have fiduciary duties to themselves and to shareholders. The duty to the public is far more fluid than they’ll ever admit, or possibly more than they even appreciate, but I consider the latter unlikely. Anyway…. Try weaning your kids and yourselves off the poison foods and high sugar diets. If you go cold turkey you better buckle up for a massive biochemical change that will manifest as flu-like symptoms. You literally have to go through withdrawal. Like an addict. Because you are one. But I’m not judging you and it’s only the ignorant that will, so ignore them. Rant over….

This woman openly fat shames her child (after making her so), she makes constant claims that Amelia “steals” from her, it’s incredibly obviously this is all for rage bait and the victims are those that the mom pushes her daughter into bothering and Amelia herself all for Stormy’s narcissistic benefit.
