I appreciate the support, Nariko. I wouldn't sell Blip short, though. He definitely has more knowledge about this stuff than I do and he's definitely come through for me on more than one occasion. Unfortunately, I don't think the marketing department is all that worried about history.
I don’t think I’ve ever used Kondo, probably because I’m too focused on trying to dev strike everything with IJN battleships. Makes a lot of sense to use him here. Also a belated GG to a match we had together a few weeks back. Your destroyer play pulled it out for us after a pretty rocky start for the blue team.
Every once and a while, my preference for off-beat commander selections pays off. 😊 Thanks, and GGs as well! Can't say that I remember it off-hand. Usually when I'm playing a DD, I'm trying to have fun and do the thankless little things that help to win games.

Oh well... If he's never watched a video, I could have done a lot worse, and if he gave me S-tier without having watched anything, then it really wouldn't have meant much. If he's just jumping to the end to see damage, too, I'm afraid that's not usually the point. I'm just appreciative of the support I do get.

I feel you have to sacrifice a bit much for 12 410mm compared to 9 460mm Musashi and 8 410mm Iwami. She's bottom of the barrel for HP, torp protection, deck armor, belt armor, heals out of the three... And slower and less maneuverable than Iwami. She's not a bad ship, and still better than most any other nation's T8 BBs, but Musashi at the same tier overmatches every ship in the game, does more DPM, and while also being tankier. Also props for having the best pronunciation of "Hizen" out of every CC. Vowel pronunciation is spot on. There isn't an emphasis on the first or second syllable however. In fact, think of it as three beats, not two. "HI - ZE - N," with none of the three more stressed than any other. Americans as a general rule put emphasis on the next to last syllable, which sounds fine for English, but often sounds wrong for other languages. E.g. we say "shuh-TAH-kee" mushrooms, when it's "SHI-I-TA-KE," or "buh-NAA-nuh" in English, when the Japanese, it's pronounced "BA-NA-NA." Not "yuh-MAH-toe," but "YA-MA-TO."
I think it's fair to say this ship is going to land a bit differently for everyone. You do have to risk your citadel to get those nine (notoriously unruly) 18-inch guns onto target with Musashi. It does have better deck armor and torpedo protection, but it's also less maneuverable and has disastrous AA. I think my point is more-or-less, Hizen feels like a very normal battleship. Musashi obviously breaks the armor rules, but she does pay a price for that, but it's totally fair to say Hizen pays different prices to get different characteristics. I do appreciate the commentary on my pronunciation, though. I try to do the best I can, and my over-pronunciation (possibly?) towards the first syllable is really a conscious attempt not to say "high-zen", which I know is wrong.
Just cleaned up the remnants of my TV and thought I would comment on this video's content... I like the Hizen a lot. The firing angles are kinda remarkable which I think will make this ship a keeper in a lot of ports and I agree that the Hizen would have been the more logical Tech-Tree ship to succeed the Amagi...though I do like Izumo. Wargaming messes up Tech-Trees...it's a thing. Look no further than the American BB tech tree....We have Colorado-Iowa and N. Carolina-Kansas... Clearly N. Carolina should proceed Iowa which would proceed Maine...while. Colorado would proceed Kansas and then Minnesota but I digress. Hizen is good. An interesting build is Arthas the Cold, if ya got him, with de Revel and Iachino, just be certain to have your fighter plane loaded on your ship. If you got steel, it's not a bad idea to invest in the epic reload mod for the Hizen which is what I did. Great video tactic! You're A-Tier in my book.
I really wanted to play WOWS cause I was a World of Tanks fan so I played for almost 2 years on a laptop cause I’m an Xbox gamer so I was thrilled when legends came out. I think it’s a great replication of the PC game. Better than WOT on console. If I could demand one thing be changed it’s the spotter plane. Can we please get the PC spotter plane that extends your range and changes the angle. It’s also a good counter to spammers in smoke

u can buy the backing whenever you want. I find it good, but because It maybe suits my play style. it's surely not for new players, but it's fun. If you get centred by 2 HE spammers, you're dead

I believe u have like 12/11 days left or something? So yeah it should be doable really. As for HE spammers, there is no concrete answer. You need to get away, if you're not spotted DONT SHOOT and get to cover or out of range. Being a high tier BB is very difficult, you'll learn it. Keep it mind that in certain situations there is simply nothing you can do, that's it. But focus on what you can do to avoid certain situations, for example, Hizen is a long sniper for me, so I tend to play it a bit far back. But when I play my Sov Soyuz, its really tricking as it is in fact a tank, so it should be played sub 15km, and with all these spammers its rough... real rough.. they eat u alive. know when to push, know when to stay far back and staying alive, and when to disappear. If u stay alive, you have an impact on the game. @@baofc2609
Yeah, you have until the end of next weekend to get to Rank 100. If you decide you want Hizen at that point, you would just need to get Admiralty Backing. I can't really speak to whether admiral backing would be a good choice for any particular person, but if you like Amagi, or to varying degrees other Japanese Battleships, she feels pretty familiar.
@@tacticangel I liked the Kii, but the accuracy is too poor. If it has amazing accuracy, I might get it. Idk if its worth or not and also what ship is coming up next
They definitely both can. I'm a bit happy the Yamato didn't give me the opportunity to show off the armor, though I think I was at a decent angle for it. 😎
