Thank you for these videos. Is that "Quick 861DW" Hot Air Station what you would recommend? I may not use it very often, but I've grown tired of thinking "Geez, it sure would be easier if I had one" ... ;)
Did you replace the middle LED that you removed too replace the bad LED. Because you didn't show that. ARE those led's wired parallel. If there connected in series they will not work until there all in the circuit.Or was that just a parts board.
They are in series, this is not a full repair as I did not have a second board on hand, it's a demo of how to remove and solder these LED's only. Check my other LED video for more explanation on testing them out.
@@electronicsprojects4708 Cant find your "other LED video". I have a similar LED lite ( single LED l;ite assembly, W11130208) for a different fridge where the emitter and the other LED lites on the same circuit are dim . I would be curious how do you go about figuring out what replacement emitter to get to swap the bad one out. Can emitters go bad this way, or is it more likely just a bad solder joint? I know it is this particular emitter, because I can swap in another Led Lite from another circuit in the fridge and the bad circuit then works fine.
with the single led units, I just replace them, haven't had the need to fix them yet. They are much cheaper. Also, there is no swap-ability like on the 4 led model. No way to know what LED would work or not work for it.
