i just changed my battery into a 2s 7.4v 2500mah li ion battery, lights where flashing, steering works fine, but motor wont move forward or back, also, that IC in the middle that u said it will go boom when wrong polarity is used gets hot when i tried to run the motor forward or back. i changed the battery connectors with deans plug and still uses the orinal connector to the esc board. any fix to this?

if you are using stock battery? it works fine? what motor are you using?

Yes install the steering linkage closer to the axis of the servo horn.

C rating is just telling you the current supply "capability" of the battery, it's not how much the battery is "forcing" down the throat to the E1. The E1 only take what it needs and it only takes very little.

E1 supports 2S only, 11.1V which is 3S will kill the board.

Hi Edward, i'm new to rc world. I bought a C24 from RBRC and I noticed that the battery connector has 4 pins/slot (i don't know the actual name of those) :) . Is this the latest version? Will this work with RES V3?
