If you wanna know more about way dragon was killed, it is called "one shot". You basically use kinetic energy from dragon knockback to boost shooted arrow (cuz bow damage is calculated by arrow speed) to hit soecific tiny point on dragon hitbox. But yeah, definetely most amazing and interesting speedrun

@@sammmyg but ngl survivability will be an issue u need to throw 4 pearls with no food whereas clock has 3 bread in stronghold chest allowing for more throws in the end. heck you almost died right there. tbh if a right seed is found 4 eye seeds are def the best

@@thesilentpearl8575yea survivability is sometimes an issue, you usually can’t even afford to take one hit, and if you land in the wrong place in the end you can die, but there is a strat where you get hit by a piglin right before your pearl lands, and you take less damage because of damage immunity. and yea i agree i think a 4 eye seed could go crazy

Basically, while getting knocked back by the dragon, the closer you are to the center of its hitbox, the more speed you will gain by being knocked back. If you shoot with the temporarily high speed that this knock gives you, then the arrow will also receive this velocity. And because an arrow's damage is proportional to its speed, how fast the dragon can make it is actually enough to oneshot it.

@@majortacocat9319 clock seed got its name from the clock in the ruined portal chest. As for BBQ seed, just look at the frickin bastion, and how piglins get barbecued from the start

yknow do you think if there ever could be any perfect seed? even when you find a seed that is in half this time, bc of the nature of how many possible seeds there could be, i feel like no matter how good your seed is it's almost guaranteed there is a better one out there

@@maggy40404 yea, i mean ur right there is like 100% better seeds out there, but there is also technically a best seed, its just really unlikely we'll find it. but at the same time new strats also affect it alot as well, like this seed would've been nowhere near wrable before oneshot was discovered

i just updated the description with an explanation and tutorial :), i wouldn’t really recommend it if you’re just starting out tho, as it’s a decently advanced strategy and not typically used for rsg

Oneshot is, in technical terms, no different than one cycle. You just put together mechanics that were not meant to be weaponized vs the dragons, but were meant to exist nonetheless

you're thinking of the WR for 1.9-1.12 - this is 1.16+

here's an explanation: opening the statistics screen requires all the data displayed to be loaded and placed onto the screen. so as you select the statistics menu, the previous menu closes, briefly unpausing the game for a single tick as it loads all the data and redisplays the screen. this occurs because the way Minecraft's code works; the game pauses whenever a new menu is opened, and unpauses when the currently displayed menu is closed. turning the game's fps down to 20 will make frame times longer and subsequently make the menu load slightly slower, and since the tick speed is separate from FPS, a tick can advance before the menu loads. this isn't required to one shot the dragon however, as I've witnessed SammmyG hit a one shot without pausing at all, but it's just much more difficult without. the one shot is possible because hitting a specific spot on the dragon will (for whatever reason) instantly kill it.

@@Vqloz i don't believe so. there is a unresolved bug report that's been there since 2012, and the version list includes 1.20.4.

I head someone say they capped how much speed the dragon can give you while knocking you back, which still leavaes the oneshot possible without a railgun, but more difficult. Needs confirmation
