I've never really cared about speedrunning and never knew how it worked until i started watching rekrap do speedrunning, glad to always see him learn more. You're awesome Rek, keep it up !!
As a person who started speeding recently this is probably the best video I’ve seen in a while. Shows that even good players screw up lots of the time. Good job man.
Rekrap love ur videos!! U r always trying ur best in speed running, or basically ANYTHING, whether it is to get out of traps, trap people, wins tournament etc. I rlly admire ur perseverance and hope u get more world records!!🎉
For the next world record it would be interesting to see you speedrun it without actually knowing anything about the seed just to see if you'd be able to even come close to the WR with basically a random seed
I got into speedrunning because of you thanks. I will say, you should make another speedrunning tutorial series with more updated strats and more advanced stuff (like explaining all of the stuff with buried treasure starts)
there is a bit of a faster route where you enter in a watercave where i can get 1:14 enters, even though im a bit of a slower player, and you spawn next to the bastion so you save like 5 seconds by not bridging
In case you never figured it out the reason for the wrong bastion orientation and the weird "ghost nethers" is probably peepopractice. (i assume you had it installed in your original instance)
about the pausing on instant bastion, correct way to mitigate as many zomb pigs is to wait ~10 chunks to load so a few more seconds for entity loading wont be detrimental since no retime on dimension load
i remember the first time i tried a speedrun, was 2 years ago, i spawned on a random world, got a village killed iron golem found a blacksmith that had a bucket then found a lava pool and lake right next to it, then after making it to the nether after horribly failing the portal i was in a bastion and died instantly
Yeah there's very little time to be saved aside from the first portal split that you can outright not do. Just goes to show how incredibly well played this run is
Well, you could always zero cycle, further optimize movement, and get very lucky on the drop rates. That could bring this down another 45 seconds or more (definitely more). Even this 45 second time save is actually an immense amount of improvement. Goes to show just how much more rsg can be pushed. But a 45 second time save at these times is actually massive. Its a ~12% improvement over the wr without even being fully optimized. In a game where the dragon perch can add upto 3 minutes to your run at random.
Will you begin practicing building soon? You said in a previous video how you wanted to be master at everything. Speedrunnings, Building, Redstone , etc?
If you keep doing this you could beat the record without the seed i personaly think your doing very well. I have loved watching you progress through speedruning and your videos.
can you do a vid about speed running tips like how to use the f3 debug (yeah i dont know how to use it i normally use bedrock but kinda migrating to Java)
Drip lost a couple of seconds due to the unlucky f5 timing and the unusually low amount of gold blocks and blaze drops, so I was looking forward to see rek do it
i hope this doesn't come across as backseating, but 5 rd in the fortress isn't that good if it's in a crimson. you just get a ton of piglins and hoglins most of the time. regardless, amazing run!
in the future when the limits for speedruning is very low i feel like players who are very determined should ;like by heart a seed and try to get that same seed randomly while generating and that would be insane
