Thank you so much for taking the time to post this video! It answered questions that I couldn't find in the manual or quick guide. I live in the southeast usa (hurricanes), so I should have purchased one of these a long time ago...
Actually, you can still put SAME codes into the WR120EZ by pressing the right arrow on the specified location number. But no need to do it the hard way.
I just bought this radio. I thank you for the information, but your video is so hard to watch, it is shaky and often the display screen is off the camera when you are talking about it and we need to see it. This is especially difficult when you are talking about setting the channel. "When you hit this button, watch this" and the display screen is never shown on the video.
Okay I'm going to ask you why the volume buttons do not appear to work! There's an up and down button of course but it stays on loud volume and will not dim to low volume!
Thanks for the video! I think you may have answered my main question that I couldn't find anywhere else. I just set up mine (actually my mother's ) and when doing so I went into the Events menu to turn off the BS Alerts, because she is elderly and I don't want her bothered without nuisance/test alerts that don't pertain to her - mainly just tornado alerts, but I didn't see the "Tornado WARNING" even listed just the Tornado Watch was listed. Tornado Watches and especially WARNINGS (and maybe severe T-storm alerts) is really all I care about and is all that is really relevant to her situation, and really the ONLY reason I even bought the thing for her in the first place. So when I didn't see Tornado WARNINGS (only Watches) listed in the menu I was concerned that I may have gotten an improperly programmed or defective unit. And was about to call Midland. So what I'm asking is that if I understand you correctly that the Tornado WARNING alert, although not listed in the menu, is still there and functional it's just not listed because they don't want you to be able to deactivate that alert? Thanks for any help you can provide!
Your last statement is correct. Like he said in the video, Midland does not give you the option to turn off Tornado Warnings or any other warnings that threaten your life. So if you are saying that you want to receive Tornado Warnings, you are good to go. Hope this helps you.
The WR120EZ looks so fucking basic but once you look inside on the bord, NOAA got some fucking Alien ass shit inside, the LCD, and the batterys operate wirelessly and only work when in contact with the bord, No cables at all, if you touch the Pink and black foam inside it activates the LCD! Fucking NOAA has some weird ass shit in there teck
