Thanks for the video. I follow Brian's Oak Swamp channel and whilst you approach the work differently you share an imagination that allows you to create . I like the use of a non- digital caliper, takes me back to my working days! I've subscribed to your channel and look forward to future episodes.
Well I follow both I am a electro mechanical engineer. I agree the just do it attitude is a very positive and powerful one. I am able and have worked in highly clinical and more needs driven environment. I have made rat rods and race cars and bikes. Having spent time in high level engineering what is refreshing and needed is the let’s try.
Well, if a handbrake, then it just HAS to be a fly-off, doesn’t it? Anything else isn’t sporty enough.. nice work. Just came in from turning up some M6 ‘nubs’ to fix my trail-bike front mudguard, and there was your video on my iPad, great way to finish off Sunday evening. - looking forward to your Oak Swamp visit.. thanks. Les
Awesome video. Never thought of a fly off on a 7. So on a standard arrangement the finger lever is at the front (finger side) of the hand brake. Makes sense to have it on the palm side with a fly off and quiet easy to mod a standard arrangement. Slight worry it's to easy to bump on compared to the button type arrangement but love it. About 15 years ago I made a 7 arrangement one copying an original. Filed the teeth in the rack and formed the pawl box and finger lever around bits of metal strip and bar, no welds and works lovely. But now you have me thinking of a fly off haha. Keep it going, love it
