Jeep Wrangler Jk JKU 2013, code P06DD, Mobil 1, Take 5 Oil Change Sucks, Buy USA, One Beer Job, White Zombie Beer, Cataba Brewing www.mobil.com/en/lubricants/f...
This happened to me. I was low on oil. Ended up wiping out all my timing chain tensioners and guides. Re did everything and she runs so damn smooth you can't even tell its running at idle lol
My 2012 was doing the same thing every three months. My mechanic said it’s burning oil somehow but the engine will cut torque at high speeds due to low oil which explains your torque request code. My mechanic is having me add synthetic additives with every oil change when I bring it in to them to seal the cams if they are the cause of the oil burn.
The crazy thing is that if I use anything but a Mopar oil filter (which is available at Walmart, so no biggie) I get the P06DD...even tried a Mobil1 oil filter...threw it 2 weeks after putting it in. Put the Mopar oil filter back in, haven't seen the code since. Mine doesn't use any oil, no leaks, etc. I've seen a few others with similar behaviors.
Got my Jeep wet... oops lol.. .threw all the same codes.. changed camshaft sensor.. hope the oil filter fixes it up.. as currently have low oil pressure when idle
Hey I know this comment was a while ago. But 4 weeks ago I ran into a similar situation. Went into a water hole, everything was going fine, then noticed my Jeep started going into limp mode. Low oil pressure popped up, check engine light flashing, and ended up getting towed home. Tried all the sensors, replaced the timing chains, oil pump, and oil filter housing. All that, got rid of most the codes except for P06DD. Oil pressure at start up reads 70-80, as it warms up it slowly dies down and finally reaches 4-5 psi which throws the oil light. Just curious what led to the conclusion of engine swap versus possibly any other issues. Getting married next month so an engine swap isn’t necessarily ideal😅 Thanks for the reply if you ever see this 👍
@Jordan Bull been fighting this issue, plus another pentastar 3.6 issue, for over year and half now and didnt even get mine wet. Love make payments on vehicle I don't drive. Replaced catalytic converter, camshaft/crankshaft sensors multiple times and brands, oil pump, filters, sending unit sensor twice, gonna try this brand filter. On all the forums found that ive read trying to get info on this "service bulletin" from Chrysler, which it should be a recall and fix, the only other thing besides filter housing unit is swapping wiring harness. It gets hot around the camshaft sensor on passenger side and to replace that. So if those 2 don't fix it I guess motor swap or wreck it is only options left lol
