@@TonyLoewen I’ve rewrapped a fender about 8 times,still comes back up on me, about to redo it again soon. Funny thing Is I think my tank and rear fender/fairing will be much easier. My fender is a nightmare.

I've used clear vinyl to protect a brand new generation 3 Suzuki Hayabusa petrol tank from scratches n chips rather than changing its colour as you have just automatically assumed I was doing.... Let me enlighten you again. Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups. So before being smart and writing an assumption, probably best to have a kind chat and know what your chatting about with the other party involved before leaving lol hahaha funny funny remarks, like you know what I'm talking about.... Last week I asked a local company how much to wrap a petrol tank (hopefully getting an RE meteor fireball in the next month - wanted an all matt black one but the matt black one comes with a chrome exhaust where as the fireball version (yellow tank) has a matt black exhaust.)). He estimated £100 Inc. material but wanted to see the tank before he could tell me whether it would need a seam or not. Look forward to your next one 👍

@@davidmac805 i wrapped my bike today that shit was hard asf small pieces are easy to work with but once I got to the gas tank I messed it up. it has a lot of wrinkles on the front edges but it looks good from the rider seat

@@XRyder24 My buddy and I tried wrapping my fenders on my 09 Dyna and we got the front one with no trouble but the rear fender has so many edges that we ended up painting it. We are buying powder coat supplies and are going to just powder coat everything.

Normally you don’t use vinyl to hide scratches, it depends on how deep the scratches are it may hide some but not all.

No, if you do the proper post heat I kills the old memory of the vinyl and creates new memory of the shape it’s in after being wrapped

Yes for sure can be. All wrap film have a % that it can be stretched and after that point you risk damaging the adhesive

@@TonyLoewen i just did my first hydro dip so I'm with ya. Everyone says its good but i see where the flaws are. lol But I'm going to wrap the top of the tank and the top of the fenders and dip the sides with sugar skulls its for my chic. Vstar 650.

That’s why you need to properly prep the surface. Should have used a few spots of filler and use that sanding primer to make sure it’s good when you sand it down.

Haha nope it’s absolutely not a lie, I see no reason to lie to anybody about what I have or have not wrapped before. I had wrapped full vehicles before this video but no tanks, No I feel I could do it even better now that I have way more experience.
