That ivory is phenomenal! Maybe it's the lighting but the speckles almost look blue in some spots. Ive never seen ivory like it and it's gorgeous

I bet you could cut some sort of inverted "V-notch" at the bottom of the handle in each iteration of the spiral that you could press the gold inlay into that would provide even more mechanical attachment and possibly negate the need for the glue

How did that compare to your usual fluting as far as adding the wrap and finishing?

Hey Kyle, when your hooking the wire back into the tang, did you make a hole on the inside of the tang hole, perpendicular to the tang itself? If so what tool do you use for that?

In my experience super glue is not a long term bonding agent. Curious as to how well it holds the gold in place in the event of ivory shrinkage? Have you tested this theory of yours? Do you have experience with ivory shrinkage and the super glue holding the gold???

Yes to all The c a is only a temporary fastener until final assembly The c a is also not needed it’s just a little extra insurance Good question my friend Merry Christmas Dad

@@KyleRoyerKnives In the Video Kyle talks about putting super glue on the handle in case the Ivory isn't well taken care of and then shrinks. Which could cause the gold to come loose. My question was focused on this scenario.

I wouldn't expect you to give us any info regarding your customers, and what they've paid for your pieces.. but would you be willing to give us some insight into how you price one of your custom projects? I mean, some of the materials you use in your work are incredibly expensive.

What gauge of wire is good? I am working on a dagger and an considering silver but am unsure as to what gauge to get. The smallest I've found is 28 gauge.
