My favorite genre is shoot em ups but nothing wrong with expanding your horizons picked up a Metroidvania game very similar to Metroid Axiom Verge it's sooooo good this looks pretty sweet too

It's 30 FPS and gyro is supported.

@@LarpiVelpa gyro is supported, and barely works. It straight up will just act like you don't have that box checked. Does the same thing with aim assist and the change weapons when out of ammo options.

Is this 30 fps? They said before release that it would be 60 on Switch? Can you change performance mode? Or was that a lie?

It seems to be something around 30 fps, can't say for sure. And no, there is no performance mode.

I remember they claimed to have it running at 60fps a few years ago, looks like they lied or made it 30fps for performance reasons. Either way it is a bummer.

Is the game run at 60 fps? Quake is 60 fps on Switch and this is the same engine

It's a heavily modded Quake engine, so much that it has an own name, called DarkPlaces. Some areas are insane big and vast, very impressive stuff. I can get behind the 30 fps, but not the weird lighting.

The Quake remasters use a different engine now, called the KEX engine.

@@docArr666 KEX is more of a wrapping for the original engine. The console ports of WRATH are wrapped into Unity, due to some licensing issues, because the Quake engine is open source (since 1999) and every console is a closed system.

Die Optik ist cool, aber der Rest wirkt eher langweilig. Riesige Level, aber komplett ausgestorben und fast keine Gegner.

Das ist weil dies sein erstel Level ist. Das spielt spawned nachher deutlich mehr Gegener. Das ist alles adaptiv, schon im zweiten Level kann man sich vor Gegnern kaum retten.

Looks like a pretty crappy port. They've removed all the lighting and shadows. Aiming looks pretty janky too.

This game is pure fucking frustration. It has zero optimization for the switch. The aiming and movement speed are just not tight enough to have any real fun. I felt like i was on rollerblades and could barely aim at anything. Seriously i feel this game is much better on pc. It is not worth bothering to play on the switch. Pure frustration and its sad as i know this game is amazing but not on thw switch. Play DUSK!!!!! BETTER GAME OVERALL

Good to hear that you have the same (bad) experience with this game on Switch, I also found it annoying to play and the aiming is terrible, makes no fun at all.
