Best Ribbon bow and mesh wreath teacher out there. Easy to understand no other nonsense that makes a you tube video drag on. He is to the point, very easy to follow tutorials
I just wanted a bow for a Spring wreath, and yet wasted my time on too many ridiculous videos before finding this account. THIS IS THE WINNER TUTORIAL FOLKS. Thank you Dave!
I have watched what feels like a million videos trying to learn how to tie a bow on one of my wreaths, and this video is the FIRST AND ONLY video that has made sense to me! Thank you for your very clear instructions and tutorial. Finally, my spring bow is attached to my wreath and it's now hanging on my door!!!
Hi there Erin, I am so glad you found this video to be useful for your bow making and so happy to hear your handmade bow is attached to your wreath on your door. YAY YOU!!! That is great news to hear. 😊😊😊
This video popped into my feed just in time. A true God send. I was at a ribbon frustration cross road, you led me in the right direction. Thank you. 😊
you make it look so easy. easy to follow along and make. my craft journey is really stepping up. i was so tired of paying people to make crafts for me or buying from department stores. i have saved literally hundreds for fall and winter this year... i love thanksgiving and Christmas. thank you😍
Hi Sharon. That is such a wonderful comment to read today. Thank you so much for watching AND for putting a smile on my face. I really appreciate it. I'm so so so happy to hear that the video has helped you step up your crafting game. YAY!!! Crafting is so much fun and I'm happy to hear you're loving your adventures. Take care.
Dave to say I watch you religiously is an understatement. I personally want to thank you I started back getting into crafting after losing my best friend and a really good friend and co-worker so I had to find something to keep my mind occupied. I thought I could get through but depression set in and so I started crafting to cope with it . One of the most simplest things for people I’ve struggled with was making bows . The.now maker wasn’t much help and doing a bow free hand was like throwing me into operating room and expecting me to do brain surgery. These videos allowed me to turn my wreath into a masterpiece. So Dave thank you all the way from the USA in a small city called South Carolina. I am so thankful for you and helping me to stay on my crafting journey. You ROCK handsome‼️
Hi there, I'm so so sorry to hear about your huge loss and about your surgery. I hope you are coping well these days. I'm happy to hear that you are keeping yourself busy with crafting. Crafting is really a nice way to escape a bit of our realities. I wish you all the best through this rough time. Take care. 😊
I am so glad to have come across this. I gift wrap Christmas gifts for my co-workers but there is only one that I do a ribbon for. I will WOW them this year!
This is GREAT!!!!! I work at a tree farm in the wreath house during the Christmas season but I tend to only make one kind of bow. Everyone loves the bows but I'm so excited to learn new styles!!!!!!
Hi Beverley, yes, I'm sorry you had to purchase the bow makers. Hopefully they can be of use in the future maybe? Or you can sell them at a garage sale. Thank you so much and take care.
Dave, you make bow making look so easy. I like the way you unroll the whole spool of ribbon first and just use a finger length longer for each loops. Even with a good and bad side, you make it so easy. I make wreaths and flower arrangements for my family cemetery for each season. I was not happy with my bows. Now, I’m looking forward to making the. Thanks a bunch!
Hi Kim, thank you so so much for such a wonderful comment and thank you for watching. I'm so happy to hear this video helped you with your bow making. That always warms my heart. Happy bow making!!! Take care.
Wow this looks easy, especially for someone that’s never made a bow. My mom was a florist and mage the prettiest bows. She died in 2019 I now have all of her ribbon and want to learn to make Christmas bows ❤️
Hi Jeanna. I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. My deepest condolences. That is great that you have the ribbon and want to do Christmas bows. I hope they turn out just as pretty as your moms. Take care. 😊
Love, love, LOVE your Bundle/Bouquet Bow!!! Thank you so very much for sharing your talent for bow making - you are a wonderful teacher and your videos are THE BEST!!! ❤🤗🎀
Wow!!! I'm so glad I found your videos I have been paying someone to make my bows for me to put on my signs and wreaths sometimes paying half of my profits!!!! I made 1st one and was like I wish I would have found you years ago!!! But thankful I found you now and will be saving so much now!!!! Thank you so much!!!
Thank you for sharing your video. I will tell you that your video makes it so easy and you explain it so well. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else share such an easy way to make bows🙏
David I just wanted to "GIVE YOU A HUGE SHOUT OUT AND SAY THANK 😊 YOU FOR SHARING WITH 😊 US ALL THE DIFFERENT STYLES OF MAKING BOWS"!!! I could actually listen to you all day, because you are so soft spoken and so very easy-to-use your step-by-step instructions. I've listen to some of the other crafters and had to turn down the volume, because they were speaking so loud and then started talking about something else then back to their instructions and actually got somewhat annoying. 😒 I had started following you about a year ago when I just happened to come across one of your tutorials and I was a faithful follower right then. I'm so blessed that 🙏 🙏 🙏 I did. I absolutely 💯% love 💘 how you explained everything in depth on your tiny bow. I could never actually get it when I was watching some of the others. So 😊 Thank 😊 You Once ❤️ Again For Sharing. Sincerely Your Faithful Follower, Rose 🌹 or as some refer to me as Rosie. Watching You From Elizabethtown, Ky.
Hello Rose, I cannot begin to thank you enough for such a wonderful and enlightening comment. This has totally made my day, made my week, made my month. I love hearing from fellow crafters!!! I am so so so happy to hear that you are liking my method of teaching and my videos. I always am conscious of how I talk and try to stay on topic as much as possible while I am teaching. I always say to myself "If I were watching this tutorial, what would I want to see and hear"...and that's how I do my videos. I am so happy to hear that you are enjoying them. And thank you, for being such a loyal subscriber and for all the support you give here on my channel. I appreciate it SO MUCH!!! Thank you again Rosie....you truly are a bright light today!!! 😊 😊 😊

I agree with you Deborah whole heartily. I so excited 😊 🤗 to see what Dave comes up with next. Deborah have you been watching "Dave's Halloweek"? He's made 2 so far. I'm really looking forward to watching the rest of "Halloweek"
Thank you for sharing these videos. I have learnt so much from you. You make it look so very easy and I love your gentle laid back manner of showing us how to do things. Ive had the confidence to make my first wreath and also my first bow. Thank you so much.
Hi Angela. Thank you so much for watching and for such a wonderful comment. I'm so happy to hear you will be trying your first wreath and your first bow. YAY!!! That's exciting. Have fun with it and take care. 😊
What a Fantastic tutorial! Thank you for a straight forward, easy to follow and beautiful results video. I am so excited to make all of my bows tomorrow for my first Homemade Winter Planter’s ..🙌
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderfully simple techniques that result in professionally made looking bows! Your voice is very pleasant also, to listen to, as you walk us thru each step. Blessings in bow making.
Thank you so much for this video! Some of these I haven't seen before. I have trouble with bow making, my hands don't work as well as they used to. Laying the ribbon on the table looks much simpler. Can't wait to try it out!
Hi Kathleen....thanks so much for watching and for leaving such a kind comment. I am so glad you found this technique useful to you. That makes me happy. I hope you get some bow making done in the near future. Take care and thanks again.
Thank you so much Scottie for your constant support and encouragement!!! I really appreciate it. I am over the moon excited you liked my bow making tutorials. YAY!!! Have a great day and happy bow making!!!
These are fantastic Dave! I really appreciate the slow mo version of making bows .. especially the finger bows. I've always wanted to see how to actually make them.. they're so adorable... I'm practicing tomorrow..😉 LOL ... Thanks Bow Fluffer!!!! 😂😂👍👍👍😁😁😁🤗🤗🤗🤗
Bow Fluffer...HAHA....you just totally made my morning with that comment. Thanks Tamala!!!! I'm so glad you liked these little bow making tutorials...get practicing!!! HAHA. Thanks again and have a good one.
That was lots of fun. 😃 I practiced with you on a couple, I actually made a tiny bow for the first time 🤣🤣. I have just never been able to understand how to twist the ribbon around my fingers, so a lot of backing up and going forward but I got it done. Yay! Then did the glue gun one, mostly, rheumatoid hands still need some practice but I’ll get there. I read from the comments how much so many of us appreciate your amusing tutorials. 🥰
Hi Leila...thank you so much for watching and for such a wonderful comment. I appreciate it. I'm so glad you got the finger bow one!!! YAY!!! They are fun to make. And the glue gun bow is perfect for that as well. So I'm glad you found that useful. Take care and thanks again.
Hi Rebecca....YAY and CONGRATS on making your first bow!!! That is amazing!!! Are you addicted to making bows now? I know I was when I first started....haha....Thank you so so much for your kind comment. Take care. 😊
Julie, I've been watching Dave for along time now and I truly believe that he's one of the best. I also know how it feels to be on a limited budget because I'm going through a divorce process. Having to start all over, but I'm blessed that I had started collecting my crafting supplies over the 24 yrs we were married. I enjoy watching Dave because he's so soft spoken and so very easy to follow along with. Dave is a blessing to have someone that understands that not all of us have a ton of money to spend on crafting supplies. Bless you and have a great weekend.
Welcome aboard with Dave's faithful followers and most importantly Dave. Dave is such an inspiration to all of us. Dave's got a new video out that actually started yesterday and will continue each day for "7" days. Dave calls it "Halloweek". I've already watched the first two videos and I'm so excited 😊 🤗 to see what's next. Just click on Dave's name or look it up on RU-vid (that's how I'm watching Dave) and it will pop up and show you on his page. Happy searching 😉...
I just had to share your page with my sister that is a crafter and so am I, but there's always room to learn more exciting and unique opportunities of other crafters as well. Dave you are worth ❤️ every minute that I watch you create amazing and gorgeous wreath's and ect. Keep up the great job. I'm so excited for your next tutorial. 😍 It's always an adventure.
Hello Rose. Thank you so much for watching, your support and you sharing my page with your sister. I totally agree, us crafters have to get inspired by each other and learn from each other. I have learned a great deal from my fellow crafters and that is such a joy to share and learn. I'm so happy you enjoy my channel and my videos. Thank you so much again and take care. 😊
Hi there...thank you so much for watching and for subbing to my channel. I appreciate it. Don't get discouraged with the wreath making world. Just ignore everyone else and just do you and have fun with it. That is the most important thing...having fun. You'll do great!!! Thanks so much. xx
Hello Dave, I love all the bows especially the bundle bows. Those seem the easiest to make. I'm also a fluffer. I'm obsessed with fluffy, chunky bows!! LOL!! Your bow videos are the best. Easy instructions and I like that you don't use a bow maker. I've had limited success with them. Love, love the dotted bow....so cute! Good work, Dave!! Be well, be safe:))
Hi PK...I will be honest and I have tried the bow making tools....they just don't seem to work with me either. LOL. I'm so glad you liked this bow making video!!! YAY!!! And it's always good to see there are other fellow "bow fluffers" out there....HAHA. Take care and be safe.
Are there certain ribbons that are best for different bows and certain bows you want to make with a specific ribbon type? I have a pretty firm glitter one and I am having trouble getting the look I am attempting.
Hi Stephanie, I generally use ribbon that is wired. The loose ribbons tend to not hold the shape of the loops and droop. I have worked with the firm glitter ones, and they are a lot to get the look. I now kind of tend to stay away from the firm glitter ones, as they are not my preference. I stick to the fabric ribbons with the wired edges. I find they are the best for the bows I use for my wreaths. Hope that helps a bit.
