No. I was impressed with the talent driver had. Caught him he moves to middle of track on straightaways.Always looking in mirror.Stops going into corner.Chops you off.Get up to his door post and he turns left.Just an incredible amount of talent.Wish I was that good.All drivers are told in safety meeting before race not to do that and to give others their part of track as these cars and parts are getting hard to find.We all agreed including him.Good luck to you for rest of season.Sorry about oil.
I can swear for 3 minutes straight and never say the same word twice. If I was driving your car, I’d have done that! Good show and I hope everyone is safe. I’ve got 2 flatheads one 3 and 3/4 stroke, another that will be 4 and 1/8 stroke and a big lincoln flathead 337 I bored to .040 over.
As a driver myself, racers need to have respect for each other. My rule of thumb, if you have any doubt that the car your going to pass might not see you and know your there you should respect him and your own shit and let off and live to race another lap. You did seem to get up beside him enough for him to see you but I wasn't driving so I can't make that call. I'll back out in a situation where I'm not sure the guy sees me unless it's last lap or 2 and I'm going for broke.
It seems two or three of the good guys would have a particularly frank discussion (one that involved bruises and chipped teeth) with the bad boy in question and put a stop to his lack of driver etiquette.

Not first time of him doing this. This same driver was blocking Johnny Gregory at the North South event a few years ago. Johnny finally got around him in traffic when a caution came out. Everybody was slowing down but one. You guessed it, that one was him. This talented driver under caution runs into the back of Johnny. Just think, you have got to be real smart to accomplish this.Mr Gregory doesn't think this boy has any talent.This race is on video and when I get a copy I will post it.
Those blocks can be out done by setting him up. Keep a bit of distance between you (approx. 1 car length) enough so he knows you're still trying to get around. Setup the high outside pass. As he fades up to block the high line while you start to close the gap you make the jump to the inside line. This leaves his innertia pulli g hard to the outside so if he tries to turn down in late he may go into a slide or drastically scrubs off speed. It is sad to see such nice cars get wrecked. :/
That's a pretty hard hit. Glad to see you're ok. I'm not positive what the leader was thinking. The two famous words in racing are "Give" and "Take". If drivers keep this up the division will be toast. Hard to find cars like that anymore without dumping 10,000-15,000 in.

Don't know what these other people on here are seeing,what I saw was a jacka$$ driver that came over on you because you were going to pass him.I see a lot of drivers that don't have enough talent to drive and win so they wreck the drivers that they can't outdrive.I always enjoy watching your videos,although this one was aggrevating as I'm sure you were too.

I always said I'd like to see some coupe and sedan racing again... nice cars... I'd be afraid to race 'em and get 'em dented up. BTW, that guy just flat(head) ran into you. In this series do y'all draw for start position or did you just get a bad qual lap? because the poster was coming to the front like a bat out of hell. He made quick work of the cars in front of him. Nice piece of driving but heck there's one of wreckers at every short track in america
Have you never considered tuning down your engine a bit? I mean, doesn't this get a bit boring? With a more equal engine, it would come down to driving skills instead of tuning skills, the outcome wouldn't be quite as obvious, it would be more "real racing" than "sigh, here he comes again..." Just a thought.
I understand what you are saying, in the past I used to let them win races, I would slow up so they could win...they never said thank you or I appreciate it. All they did was critize me and the car. They ever resulted to putting big engines in their cars, which we caught thru inspection. One put a chevy motor in his car and disguised it to be a Ford. I was purposely wrecked on two occasions. I have been protested and found legal. I end up getting all the races for the group and I work on my car all the time. I decided I was not going to give them anymore races - if they want to outrun me - they will have to work on their cars. - There are two difference divisions running at one time - the Sportsman and the Modified. The Sportsman has one carburetor and the modified has multi carburetors. PS - I do slow down when I am out front.
You are right. The track finally sent word for driver not to ever come back . He wrecked in the very next race that he drove in at this same track, after running over another car in front of him. He's ever wrecked cars during the caution . All the cars slowed down but him, and he run into one of them. They call him idiot.
Too me he cut you on purpose these cars arent cheap anymore. And for the comment of these things dropping oil my 49 does and if it didnt well she wouldnt be alive then, FLATHEADS FOREVER !!
wow. sorry to see you get tangled up like that. Back when I ran karts, you got tapped a couple times from behind on straights and if you didn't move, next turn you got knocked off the track.
guy was a total douchebag. its obvious that he was blocking. if he continued this for laps you could have pitt maneuvered his ass. off course thats not fair neither but this guy clearly wasnt racing fair. he was blocking because his car was slower you could have drifted by literally sitting on his bumper and on the start of the straightaways pulling a dale earnheart manuever too. if he would try to block you it would cause him to pitt maneuever his own car and you would clearly stay straight. anyhows keep racing kicking ass and taking care of your beauty. its nice to see these old fords raced like the 50s and not be trailer queen showcars.

This could have been a Definate Road Rage situation, where the NRA Would Allow Armed Drivers to Defend Themselves from Personal Attempted Bodily Harm. Boy THAT would draw the crowds in Wouldn't It?
OHHH NOOO. NOT Good. Looks like just sheet metal damage though that could pounded out. But then the car starts looking like the Demolition Derby Wrecks they run around at the quarter mile tracks they have in my area. Nice old Round body Racers begin looking like refugees from from a Squash Yard.

Nascar Champion Rex White said the driver wrecked me deliberately.Note of interest, same driver, same car, same track and his very next race, guess what? he did it again. Dive bombed the entry hit the car he was trying to pass and this time tore his own car all to hell when he hit the wall, That car has wrecked other drivers five different times, wrecked itself at least two times and have lost count on how many times it has spun . I have video of some of this I will post later. Hard to contend with.
