That side of the industry with kitchen fitters should have a ccn1 in my eyes as your right they are dangerous had a gas leak from previous kitchen fitter who cut the gas as it was in the way of a unit and sealed the open end with just silicone :(
I think some work by gas safe in conjunction with kitchen manufacturers to spread some basic awareness on the law around boilers and flues would really help!
Some kitchen fitters are so thick, not only do they do what they did in your video but the way they box boilers in and make it hard to service them is a joke. Think you should RIDDOR them hope you give an update to what's happened
@@vxfoxy howdens boxed a very old boiler in and had no air vents on the door, so I had to take the door off, the brand new shiny kitchen now looks a bit stupid
Please don't tar us all with the same brush. I have 3 gas Safe chaps I call on for my gas works. I make custom cupboards to go around boiler. a double door Adair so it can be fully opened and removed to allow full access easily.
and todays (not so quite as dangerous) Wren incident. Kitchen fitters couldn't be arsed to change an old stop cock on a lead mains and today 3 weeks after kitchen finished- its weeping (quite badly) totally inaccessible - insurers having to get involved as units and worktops have had to come out!!!!!! UTTER INCOMPETENTS
Paulie! Honestly - you should see the state of the kitchen... poor lass spent £12k on it... could have given the apprentice a ton a day and he’d have done a better job. How many times have you seen it though... gets right on my tits when they do it.
@@pauls826 they didnt even do that mate! Chap said he wasn’t touching it and it wasn’t included!! £12k for about 10 cabinets and fitting... no plumbing included - get your own plumber. Hence the video - wont touch water but happy to leave an open end and smash a sink blanking plate on 😂😂 - we’re in the wrong game.
