MegaMurph13 I think it largely had to do with copyrights and paying a butt load of money every time it’s played. Imagine if 10,000 people everyday played this match on the Network. They would go broke
I worked security at this event. Atlanta, Georgia Dome 2011. Yes, the crowd went silent because we (I'm still a fan) weren't expecting Johnny Cash's "Ain't No Grave." It caught everyone by surprise. Even tho I think this was his second or third time using it. In fact, whoever was recorded this was about 10 rows behind my left shoulder where I was standing. We're facing the same side of the ring. I was covering Tyler Perry and the Celebrities sitting in those floor seats.
drumsallday19 that doesn't mean anything. just because they have the money, doesn't mean the Cash estate wants to sell those rights. plus you are looking at 2 mill a year at least in royalties. just for one song. imagine if they used all the music from the last 25 years.
This match between Undertaker and Hunter doesn't get mentioned enough and I feel is underrated. Brutal match that didn't feel slow or too long, and also included great story telling where taker had to be stretchered off even though he won which eventually set up their rematch at WrestleMania 28
@@somebody6539I’ve never seen anyone call it the greatest match of all time, but I feel it is underrated simply due to the fact it was following Shawns two matches
Thank you ! I was annoyed when I saw this on the WWE network but they would have had to pay Mr. Cash's estate a shitload of money due to copyright. You can't use someone's music and charge customers for access to the music (watching WM 27 on WWE network) *without* paying the original owner of the music. The music switch was dope as hell though.
My first Mania. My first live Taker experience. This entrance put me up on Johnny Cash. Given that you can't hear this on the Network but can be relived here is great but being there... There are no words. This is my All time favorite entrance from Taker. The music, the vibe, the match, the story, WOW. Only way this could be topped is if he used this song the following year when he was said to have "lost" this match and had something to prove to HHH and he cut his hair and everything with it. This song with that story would be PERFECT but this is godlike.
Same here I was 15 n I was with my dad it was lit I had fun I wish I can make a time machine n go back to 2011 n go to wresltmania 27 at the Georgia Dome
I heard they purchased the rights to the Johnny Cash song, and it was meant to be used in the feud between Undertaker and Sting. But in the end Sting didn’t sign for WWE!
@@moneybagmax2613 Remember that Brock winning wasn't the initial plan. Both men went into the ring under the impression that Taker would go over, then he got hurt...
This was definitely by far Undertakers best entrance with that theme song. You can just feel the intensity of it… Undertaker should have have kept that theme song for the remainder of his career years after this. There will NEVER be another Undertaker ever again, truly once in a lifetime icon we will ever see in our lives
WWE’s community post asking for the most iconic Undertaker entrances and so many people have forgotten this gem exists. By far the best Taker entrance, fit his character and the match so much.
well they've replaced the song on every post i could find. On peacock it's just his regular music instead of Johnny Cash. Not sure why, maybe they lost the rights to use it, because the song is what makes the entrance for me.
If you watch WrestleMania 27, you can see that WWE changed Undertakers theme song to his Current theme due to copyright infringement so they replaced Ain’t No Grave to Phenom Theme song
I remember hearing this in 2011 but I swear to god it was on the dvd but some are saying it wasn’t. I don’t think I bought the ppv, I thought I got this at Walmart a little after. I fell in love with this song and the Undertaker
This needs to be the song and entrance that they use for his last ever match. It would be so fitting. Especially if they did it at Wrestlemania (even though Wrestlemania isn't what it used to be).
God as my witness, and two of my closest friends can verify it: a few weeks before 2/21/11, I made my character in the WWE game change his theme song to Ain’t No Grave by Johnny Cash. And when Taker showed up on Raw with that same song playing, we all lost our shit. He is my all time favorite pro wrestler and no one in my mind can touch him.
Too. Bad stupid wwe dubbed this theme on the WWE network, smh this song was epic I was on the opposite side of the stage that night, had goosebumps seeing Taker that night in Atlanta
it’s because they didn’t had the rights anymore. Back on the Home Video Release they cute Aint No Grave and also For Whom The Bell Tolls on Taker and Hunters Entrance
personally i believe the undertaker is the best(in fighting skills)of them all. i love cm punk and i also like a lot triple h & shawn michaels, but i always prefered the undertaker for some reason
The undertaker is the best character in the history of the buissness the chilling music makes my hair stand up him losing ghe buried alive match in 2003 was the best thing to ever happen in his career
I watched this live and it was was epic. Sad it was edited by wwe. This was so awesome!!! The Undertaker came out to this music perfectly. I will miss him but his legacy will carry on for eternity. HHH's entrance was bad ass but there is rawness to this that you can't explain.
I had WM27 on DVD during 2011 and remember Undertaker coming out with 'ain't no grave', Decided to re-watch from WWE network and was confused when he came out to his regular theme.
i got The UnderTaker 20-0 The Streak and when i watched his entrance i thought i was i going crazy cause when i was 11 years old i had WM27 on dvd and i remembered his usual theme wasnt the one playing but now am here and i know i wasnt crazy thanks man
I was lucky to watch this live and catch the song. Fits his image well. Played it at beginning and when he won. Thanks. They keep taking any originals down.
1:34 when Taker looks up to stare at HHH is a fantastic moment. Undertaker has a way of making minimal movements visible and intense. That's such a gift.
Why in this video is Ain't no grave but I remember that it was his signature music entrance, also in the WWE official channel the entrance is with his signature music 🤷♂️ Probably a Mandela effect
What an entrance since after Wrestlemania 26 with 2010, this is his theme for the 27th Wrestlemania Johnny Cash's song it's just on WWE Network and clips on RU-vid with this, his song of aint can hold my body down dosen't appear without reason.
I’m confused... on the wwe network and WWEs RU-vid channel on takers entrance his normal music played but here it’s ain’t no grave ??? Someone care to explain
Samiii 458 They have to buy rights to use song. And Vince is too cheap to do so. They did it up until WM 27 That's why people were surprised CM Punk kept Cult of Personality so long.
@@ShadowTaker The Cash family owns the rights to that song. It's a lot better than hearing "Dong" almost 5 seconds as it was associated with the streak.
