Broooo I totally forgot about that, Jeff Hardy was the face of the company at the time so making him lose to his brother was a dumb move but I guess the company didn’t trust Jeff due to his issues.
Spinner Belt should have only been used when Cena was champion, same way the Smoking Skull belt was only used when Austin had it. Made no sense for anyone else where the belt.
I heard Austin was supposed to return at WrestleMania 2000 and help The Rock win the WWF Title, but Austin wasn't ready to return just yet, so they postponed that ending to Backlash that year.
@@elijahloveell8809that match at backlash everybody remembers the rock vs the whole mcmahon helmsley regime until stone cold came out.....that match at wrestlemania was bad that why it's never talked about
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that thinks this especially as the rest of The Undertaker's matches serve no purpose. The Undertaker winning didn't further CM Punk's career in any way. Brock Lesnar would still have gotten his major push if he forced Triple H to retire and won the championship soon after. It was just unnecessary for him to lose one of the best aspects of his career. Ending it 20-0. Hell in A Cell, his two fiercest Wrestlemania rivals. End of An Era would be such a great close to an awesome career of one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.
I don't know how you can still think roman shouldn't have won considering how cody is more over and roman is teaming with the rock. Cody is also main eventing again
@@kennyking9347 It wasn't that Roman Reigns won the match because I would have been fine with him winning clean, but it was how the match ended that just didn't feel right.
Some of my choices: Booker T vs Triple H 19 Cena vs Orton vs H 24 Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus 28 Sting vs Triple H 31 Nakamura vs Styles 34 Baszler vs Lynch 36 Reigns vs Rhodes 39
Personally I was hoping back in the day that Jeff would win the rumble and beat HHH at Mania for it. But then he just won it at Armageddon instead, which little me was also very ecstatic for.
Cody losing would've genuinely been easier to take if it wasn't by Solo. Solo was already barred from ringside...so he just throws a hoodie on and come back? That's stupid af
If Cody lose clean to roman last year so there wouldn't be any 2nd match between them since it makes no sense at all now then because Cody lose to roman clean means he failed to finish the story. No one would be interested in roman vs Cody again if roman wins cleans. It would've been same like this year seth vs Cody people don't wanted that match because Cody beat Rollins clean already so people won't be wanting Cody to beat roman since roman beat him clean. La knight drew McIntyre would be preferable who were close to win if it wasn't for solo and jey uso was close to win if it wasn't for jimmy
@thegameking3931 it was already far from clean at that point, my main gripe is Solo's return. Like, one of usos couldn't have been the one to finish the job?
There are plenty of Mania matches that definitely fit this question. Here are the ones that I wish could’ve been different and the winners I would’ve wanted…. Rock - Mania 2000 Booker T - Mania XIX John Cena - Mania XXIV Jeff Hardy - Mania 25 Randy Orton - Mania 25 Edge - Mania XXVI Batista - Mania XXVI John Cena - Mania XXVII Bray Wyatt - Mania XXX Undertaker - Mania XXX Sting - Mania 31 Asuka - Mania 34 Kurt Angle - Mania 35 Edge - Mania 37 Cody Rhodes - Mania 39 These are just my opinion, you may agree or disagree but it’s how I feel with these Manias and their respective results. If only, if only.
Lol no way edge is winning at wm it makes no sense at all if you wanted edge to win at wm 37 then there is no Cody winning at 39 since roman vs Cody will never happen
@@WWE4LlFE right it absolutely made no sense specially when it was roman beginning of title run and they wanted it end lol then there won't be any Cody vs roman and most importantly sami and usos won't be even treated as main event star usos would be forever tag team and sami would be glorified mid carder to even jobber that's how he was booked before bloodline storyline
Roman defeating Cody at last year mania was not a wrong decision because it would be to early for Cody to win and end his story. That lose created a new urge for Cody to win this year
I agree with you.Cena should bring back'Super Cena''Big Match John'.Put others young talent somehow doesn't bring best booking.Lose somehow can gain something because how we should learn.Fail before success.
100% agree with all of these. Here's a long list of honorable mentions: Wrestlemania 23: MITB, a hindsight thing but Mr. Kennedy shouldn't have won and Edge should've just become a 2x winner Wrestlemania 25: Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy, a match nobody wanted to see so might as well have had Jeff go over Wrestlemania 26: MITB, literally anybody else in the match would have been a better pick to win than Jack Swagger Wrestlemania 26: Triple H vs Sheamus, Triple H was going part-time and Sheamus would have benefited much more with a win Wrestlemania 29: Fandango vs Chris Jericho, just wrong... Wrestlemania 32: Intercontinental Ladder Match, no point in having Zack Ryder win just the lose to Miz the next day Wrestlemania 34: US Title Match, Jinder winning was pointless and Rusev was white hot at this point Wrestlemania 34: Undertaker vs John Cena, don't disagree with the result but it shouldn't have been a squash Wrestlemania 34: Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns, everyone was tired of this feud and Roman should've just ended it here Wrestlemania 35: Shane McMahon vs The Miz, Shane was by far the most annoying person in the company and should've lost Wrestlemania 36: Becky Lynch vs Shayna Baszler, they booked Shayna like a monster at EC and Becky left a month later anyway Wrestlemania 36: Charlotte Flair vs Rhea Ripley, Charlotte did not need this win or another NXT title run Wrestlemania 37: Bobby Lashley vs Drew McIntyre, Bobby was a good champ but Drew deserved his moment before a crowd Wrestlemania 37: Randy Orton vs The Fiend, Bray losing to Randy twice at Mania was an injustice
I still believe John Cena should've won against the Rock at mania 28 A part timer going over in the biggest match of the decade made NO sense Also we wouldn't have had mania 29 THAT bad if cena won at mania 28 because There was NO need of a rematch if cena won and "once in a lifetime" tagline wouldn't have been a joke! Also cena would've easily put over a returning brock at extreme rules but that wm loss ensured cena needed to win some big We could've used Rock in a better way at mania 29 as well
Agreed man cena should have won at wrestlemania 28 people keep on talking shit at about mania 29 but my thing is if cena won at mania 28 then 29 could have been different but I was happy cena got his win back from what happens at mania 28 I didn’t want to see cm punk or anyone take his spot.
you do realize if cena won at wm28, he was still not putting over brock, lol, cause its literally the same ish, another part timer guy, lol, but fine cena should have won in wm28, and brock wins at extreme rules 2012, sounds fair
It baffles me that WM 16 ended with HHH on top, I know they wanted that Stone Cold return, but they could've done it at Backlash Still, and have Rock vs HHH one on one at Mania with the rock on top. So crazy that your top guy gets screwed lol
My biggest hot take is that CM Punk should have beaten Taker at Mania 29 and then Taker should have retired. Paul Heyman orchestrating Punk to beat Taker, the guy who broke him in the industry, Taker retiring 20-1 and then if you give that win to Punk perhaps he stays in WWE after taking time off from that staph infection. You could have had Punk as the biggest heel ever and then after Bryan wins at Mania 30 build up towards Bryan vs Punk at Mania 31 in what probably would have been the most goated match ever.
Most of Charlotte’s mania wins would have been better the other way around. The triple threat with Becky and Sasha is the only one that wasn’t baffling
1:30 the rock lost his first 3 mania main events… didn’t complain, didn’t take his ball and go home, didn’t try backstage politics to change it. Yet people claim he has an ego… 😂
Honestly when u paint it like that I see why he does what he does now still dosnt make it right but I didn’t even think joe much he got screwed over his first run the only big mania matches he won was cena which people disagree with hogan which was fun and I guess austin but he was so old and clearly done just Didn’t hit the same
John cena should have won once in a lifetime match vs the rock, then the rock should have questioned his own abilities and had training montages ( kinda like a rock movie) showing him trying to work his way back up to be the competitor he once was........ Then beat cena at twice in a lifetime. It makes more sense I think imo
"All of these are subjective." You show me one person who says they think Triple H should've beat Booker T in that Mania match, and I will show you a liar.
Honorable Mentions: Mark Henry beating Ryback at WrestleMania 29 because just like AJ Styles 3 years later, Ryback became the number one contender immediately after for the same title; and Jinder Mahal losing the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale to Mojo Rawley because again he became the number one contender immediately after but also won the WWE Championship immediately after. I'd also have Shane McMahon beat The Undertaker because it would have made more sense from a storyline perspective since he would have actually earned the right to run Raw instead of being given the opportunity because Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were gone for a short period of time.
John Cena winning at WrestleMania 28 would have been a good passing of the torch moment but we still got that a year later for the WWE Championship and as you said, John Cena can lose a WrestleMania and still be fine, which he was even though WWE pretends that he wasn't in 2012.
Why do you want the rock to lose?he had lost 3 wrestlemania main event (15,16,17)...He had never walkout wrestlemania main event with victory...He returned to wwe after 8 years and you want him to lose again in the main event in his own hometown?passing a torch is my foot...Cena has been face since 2005..
@@sunilghimire3583 just because I said John Cena winning would have been a good passing of the torch moment doesn't mean I wanted him to beat The Rock at WrestleMania
WrestleMania 31 would of been 100% flawless if Sting would of gone over on Triple H. The booking was very weird, Sting was originally the one to end The Authority, then during the match it suddenly became WWE vs WCW.
Hey you should do a video talking about every best WrestleMania match / WrestleMania moment of every year starting with the year you started watching wwe
Cena 100% shouldve won at Mania 28 imo. They tried saying 2012 was the worst year of Cenas life because of the loss (he main evented more PPVs than both world champions AND BEAT BROCK LESNAR IN HIS RETURN) , and even kayfabe blamed his marriage on it. Cena was gonna be there, The Rock was already a mega-star and his popularity was gonna get even crazier when Fast 6 drops the next year. He'd be fine taking that L and then, idk, move onto Orton or HHH at Mania 29.
I didn't have a problem with the rock beating John cena at wm 28....one it was in rock hometown......two even though both were babyfaces but john cena acted like more of a heel in that fued.....and rock hasn't wrestled in years up until that point
@@eddiecampbell9663 The Rock not wrestling in years is another good reason why Cena should've won. He was gonna be there for tomorrow, the week after and the month after that. The Rock wasn't. The crowd would've got their catharsis when Lesnar came back and dropped Cena the following night.
@@therealangelalexander1858 um my point is, sometimes you have to pay your dues, other main eventer guys in the past did what cena did a bunch more times, and they had to suck it up and deal with it with no protection or anyone sticking up for them, cena is no different here
Wrestlemania 24: Randy winning was the right choice. Wrestlemania 25: Triple h winning was the right choice Wrestlemania 28: The Rock winning was the right choice Wrestlemania 29: Triple h winning was the right choice
I don't agree with Cena winning over the Rock in the first (and supposed only) match. I think the right person won in that one. I still remember falling asleep during that match because the event was televised late night in where I live and I didn't see the final minutes of the match 😭
Solomonster mentioned that, at least as a possibility, that the main event at Mania 2000 occurred the way it did because Austin wasn't ready to come back.
Nobody expected Orton to win at WM 24, most people expected either the obvious RR winner or Triple H after his big comeback, that’s what makes it the perfect choice
Bro really talks about wanting super Cena to come back but then talks about edge being able to take the mania loss...am I the only one who thinks those two statements don't make sense next to each other?
Edge has won so many feuds since he’s been back lol. He beat Seth twice, beat Orton, Beat Finn, he even won the Rumble LMAOOO. So yeah of course he can take a loss Cena legit hasn’t won a televised singles match since like 2018 lol
I think randy winning at wm 24 cleanly is better because cena at the time already won two wrestleamnia main events with tapouts randy needs to have his own wrestlemania moment
No. Rock had to win at WM 28. See, this wasn't just a match. This wasn't just a way to have Rock beat 3 top guys of different eras at WM. This was a STATEMENT about the Attitude era compared to the PG Era. I'm sorry that you grew up in the worst (most boring, watered-down) era of modern WWE possible. To the rest of us though, Cena, the "colorful" face of that latter era (I missed his "Wordlife" gimmick greatly) , winning, would've been the biggest slap in the face to the rest of us. Cena got his win the following year anyway, even won the WWE title, but it didn't carry the same metaphorical weight as the first match, fortunately, so we all lived with it.
well they didn't, cody won, but at what cost??? look at his reign? thought it would exceed my expectations, but its looking like my prediction from last year where I thought cody winning would be bad because his reign would go no where, looks like I was right
My List.... Wrestlemania 30: Brock Lesnar VS Undertaker 6. Wrestlemania 25: Edge VS John Cena VS Big Show 5. Wrestlemania 25: Triple H VS Randy Orton 4. Wrestlemania 5: Hulk Hogan VS "Macho Man" Randy Savage 3. Wrestlemania 19: Triple H VS Booker T 2. Wrestlemania 28: Sheamus VS Daniel Bryan 1. Wrestlemania 39: Roman Reigns VS Cody Rhodes
Sheamus Beating Daniel Bryan was the right choice because we would’ve never got the yes movement. Roman beating Cody was the right choice but I agree with everything else
@@kennyking9347 I still can't believe how people are putting roman vs Cody here I already know roman would retain this time to bear 1000yr days and they are not giving Cody title just in 1yr of his return. I know WWE was planning for long term rivalry between two that's happen it span 2 year. Roman vs Cody is much bigger now, much unpredictable now and Cody Rhodes is much over than he was ever in last year. So how could they imagine WWE was going to make Cody beat roman last year. Sheamus beating bryan wasn't wrong call but if he didn't beat bryan we wouldn't have any yes moment so no cena vs bryan, authority vs bryan storyline and bryan win at wm 30
Roman vs at 1 is crazy. Roman retaining was the right decision. There were many other guys who deserved to dethrone Roman last year over cody rhodes. This year tho Cody should win
@@AD-ur1fk yeah people were talking about la knight, sami and jey more than Cody after he lose at mania they were directly crying Cody got buried lol when it was long term booking they want Cody to have big fanbase and being lovable face instead they experiment with cena getting boos when he was top babyface
Streak should have never ended or just let Roman be the one at WM 33, the streak ending with that Taker exit would've been the most emotional WM moment ever.
Probably should of had Christian win MITB at Mania 26 over Jack Swagger cause it could of saved is from Swagger's boring world title run. Oh yeah my list of changes to some Mania matches. Savage Mania 5 Sid Mania 8 Bret Mania 9 Mega Maniacs Mania 9 The Rock Mania 2000 The Hardys Mania X7 Booker T Mania XIX HBK Mania XX Randy Orton Mania 21 Edge Mania 23 Umaga Mania 24 Randy Mania 25 Sheamus Mania 26 Batista Mania 26 Jerry Mania 27 (Cause ugh bait and switch) Undertaker Mania XXX
My list: 1. The Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar (2014) The Undertaker should have retired in 2012 with the streak 20-0. 2. Triple H vs The Rock vs Mick Foley vs The Big Show (2000) Cut out Mick Foley, The Big Show and The McMahons. No DQ, The Rock vs Triple H, Vince interferes, Stone Cold appears and costs Triple H the title. Either that or The Rock wins clean. 3. John Cena vs The Rock (2012) Have John Cena win and further his rivalry with CM Punk till the next year mania. Also CM Punk beats Cena to retain the title. 4. Triple H vs Sting (2015) Obvious. Sting should've won. No contest. 5. Triple H vs Brock Lesnar (2013) Brock Lesnar retires Triple H. 6. Triple H vs Booker T (2003) Great match, awful result essentially allowing the racist win.
I think the Rock winning at Wrestlemania 28 was fine the reason the 2nd terrible match happened is cause Rock dethroned CM Punk if CM Punk beat the Rock and Cena won the Rumble it would never of happened And Undertaker retiring after Mania 30 is a big yes but if Brock won it then he could have been like okay it's time to retire I think it would have been better if Undertaker lost to Brock at Wrestlemania 30 it would have made more sense that he retired Also Brock beating Roman is fine cause Summerslam ended the rivalry so yeah Lesnar beating Roman at 34 is fine My opinion
It still boils my blood that in back to back years at WrestleMania 24 and 25 they shoehorned a 3rd guy (Triple H and Big Show) into what should’ve been singles matches with Cena. Now we look back and it’s criminal that John Cena never got to have singles matches at WrestleMania with Edge and Randy Orton respectively.
I couldn’t find the source but I read somewhere Finn actually wanted to lose the Mania match to Edge so he could retire the demon cause he hated putting the makeup on 😂
I actually agreed with the TLC take I felt they should’ve given each team a victory and then built towards a culminating fourth match which could’ve potentially been a main event
I was upset with the wrestlemania 24 triple threat match result, but it turned Orton into a legend no one thought he would win but him winning that match made everyone take him a lot more serious. And established him as a big star as he stepped out of cena and triple h and Batista shadow 😊
You joke about it, but it made NO SENSE. WHY DID SHANE MCMAHON NEED TO BEAT THE MIZ AT WRESTLEMANIA 35? It did NOTHING for Shane and Miz could've totally used the win after just turning babyface.
In my opinion the streak shouldn't have ended and if it had to end it shouldn't have been f*cking Brock Lesnar that did it. BS. It still makes me. Also what really irritates me about Triple H Vs Booker T is that Booker T always defends it. I mean good on Book for being a good sport but that ending was BS.
Charlotte Flair going over on Asuka, Baron Corbin going over on Kurt Angle, Triple H going over on Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar going over on Roman Reigns (New Orleans), and Roman Reigns going over on Cody Rhodes immediately come to mind.

1 Billion percent agree with what you said about The Hardy’s winning that TCL at Maina.. literally everything you said about that match during this video I agree with.. Edge and Jason didn’t need the W, Adam eventually taking Matt’s girl away.
I agree with just about all of these !! And I really agree with the Batista one. The cray thing is I never thought about it like that before and I’m a Batista fan
Late comment but the thing that annoyed me the most about the wm24 triple threat was that they made John Cena look SO WEAK after his super saiyan return, go back and watch the match, he never lands the AA, and at the end he stays down for like 10 seconds after 1 pedigree, he didn't even get punted by Orton in that ending and still stayed down for the equivalent of being pinned twice
