Owen and the Von Erich family are the most heartbreaking to me. For the Von Erich's, how many tragedies can one family endure!? Kevin's sons, Marshall and Ross, wrestle for MLW and i pray for them because wrestling and that family seems to be a curse. Theyre like the Kennedy's of the wrestling world ffs. And what happened to Owen never shoulda happened. He was an amazing wrestler and would've had a long career had that not happened.

*I love how you gave props to some of the older, founding members of Wrestling. My 2nd Cousin was Haystack Calhoun, I was like 5-6 years old the last time I saw him. He was Wrestling at the D.C. Coliseum and my Grandparents took me. He threw me into the air so high that it frightened me. He then handed me a silver dollar which of course, back then was a lot of Candy for a kid. I then met a big Fella in Jamestown, N.Y. with these **_huge hands_** years later, in the 90s. I stated, **_"You should've Wrestled with those big hands"_** then telling him who my Cousin was. He had a tear in his eye when he told me, **_"That was one of my ol' Tag Team partners!"_*

It's feels so strange to hear about many of these wrestlers you grew up watching, dying in mysterious, or sad ways, what's sadder still is that people still honestly think these wrestlers are intentionally hurting one another, like they could literally have all those fights day in, and day out, the matches are predetermined, rehearsed, and choreographed to give you best show they can while keeping the wrestlers safe, enjoy the show, but realize it's a show.

I've seen that, so many of the greatest wrestlers are nothing more than shells, or straight up train wrecks, they put their bodies on the line for years, had to wrestle injured, then were just tossed aside, and forced to wrestle for peanuts if they get anything at all, some made to retirement with money and security, I had no idea that Randy Savage, and Lanny Poffo were brothers..

I still think that there’s a lot more to the Chris Benoit story. Before everything happened, Chris was on the phone with Chavo Guerrero and told Chavo that someone was at the door and he had to go. So I still believe that it’s possible that someone else was involved, possibly Nancy’s ex husband. When I lived in the Georgia mountains, I met a man named Chet Grimsley who used to be the manager for JYD. I heard a lot of stories about the wrestlers from that time. And this is a big part of the reason why wrestling was always so interesting to me it's far crazier behind the scenes than what they actually show us. Out of all shows that should be made into reality show wrestlers in their everyday lives definitely should be would have to be unscripted of course but yeah that's not the way they do things unfortunately, sadly not forget to hear about it afterwards and videos like this

Such a sad industry. Yes it is scripted but not staged. What their bodies go through is very real. For me my greatest Wrestler was and will always be Rowdy Roddy Piper. His life was indeed the stuff of tragedy and success. Adrian Adonis was a true friend to Roddy and gave him the greatest advice possible for him, buy a house. As someone who had a very similar life having a home, the ultimate security was the peace we needed in our lives. The saddest part of his life story was when that medium visited him and she was drawn to a room where he rarely went. He admitted it was because he would sit in his recliner in front of his fireplace and wish that he would just peacefully slip away. Be careful what you pray for. He did that very thing not in his recliner but in his bed. So sad. He was larger than life and is sorely missed.

@@josephbennett934 I have watched it several times and thought he could have been a great tough guy actor but as I thought I thought naw...he has a beautiful introspective side that would play well in some deeper. Alas they didn't take him seriously and he went back to where he was loved. God bless you.

Rewatching all the WWF episodes on Peacock, seeing Chris Benoit is really weird, all the moves that you can see his head clearly getting hurt. The whole CTE came out because Nowinski, who was runner up on Tough Enough and later got a concussion that cause post concussion syndrome for a year before he retired from WWF and started researching it. So many of them had CTE 😑

Very tragic stories, specially the ones of those who were victims of accidents or never quit before it was too late. One could think that the event being so physically demanding the safety regulations od real sports should apply, but Pro Wresting has avoided regulation by labeling itself entertainment.
