Hi Cary, love your videos, thank you for spending time educating us all. I am from Scotland and trained Freestyle Wrestling with the Scottish team. With the Commonwealth Games coming up in my city this summer it is very exciting. Unfortunately Wrestling is such a small sport in Scotland but I do my best to show people how great the sport is! Thanks again.

This was my first year wrestling (now going to wrestle as a freshman) and I had the most takedowns on my team but still found it very easy to snap people down into a front headlock. I always found it easier to snap them down when they were moving towards me than to when they backed away..

Zach Marchildon have your coats teach you the Kelley Turk from a front headlock. If your coach has any kind of wrestling background he'll know what the Kelley Turk is and it is very very good technique for people who like to use the front headlock

Or my number one Technique is "ELBOW" pass circling hip to hip to blast doublle/high C, or low ankle pick. Let's not forget the 3 p's for a color tier. Head Pop, Push, Pick... great demo Carry.

I want to learn wresting so bad....but as an adult, there is literally no where to go to learn it. ..why isn't there adult wrestling schools?

I know it's not the same thing but you might try BJJ. There are also NAGA tournaments with adult novice and beginner divisions and weight classes. Both are submission.

aftercarecarez Yeah, I'm in the same spot - want to learn wrestling, never wrestled when I was young. I found that there's often quite a few wrestlers in MMA/BJJ gyms - usually looking to transition to one of these for competition or just for the sparring/exercise of it. So while BJJ /MMA is very different, you can still learn a good amount of wrestling from such places.
