My favorite finish. I'm currently a junior and got at least 5 pins last season just with this move. It's effective. They expect a cradle and bam run the butcher hard. Very painful if done correct
21 pins in one season with this move in my glory days, excellent move and not as mainstream.key to resisting butcher if you "start"to get caught in one is not resist and simply quickly roll away if u are evenly matched up .butcher does not work well if u aren't getting resistance which is normal response to any move being placed on you.dont resist roll away .I've made 5 opponents black out with this move.if u perfect position of your hips to keep .maximum weight on your opponent and really wrench and tighten up this thing he is going night night.be very aggressive on the crossface to stun him.dont punch him but you are allowed to hurt him.dont give me unsportsmanlike b.s.wrestling is for savages only.if you are a gentleman in that ring u will be eaten alive.only savages are going to districs.bosses go to state.
Sometimes a 3/4 nelson is lingering... Also, Leg-bars come from the butcher sometimes (when the other guy messes up). But, those are the main 3 moves I know from the elbow block position.
I actually used a variation of this to pin someone with one arm. I put my elbow between theirs and my arm under their head. Then I gave the rock on sign to the crowd right as i got the pin. Yes I was in middle school lol
My son loves to hit this move and hits it alot. Do you have any other technique from this position that he can hit in a combo besides the cradle and a pancake...thx
Jason I really like your wrestling style. I would be astonished if you came to my school for a clinic. I'm trying to get your foot work drill down and it's difficult than what I'm used to. is it to late for you to host?
I gotta ask. What's the counter (or escape...or defense)? Our wrestling club got slaughtered by a team that ran this move relentlessly. Any tips or drills?
Mike Collins the counter is don't let them get on you like to begin with. you said the other team ran this relentlessly. what I heard was "My wrestling team spent a lot time face down on the mat. learn so takedown defense.
