God, this is such a southern centric broadcast. I was five and of course had no knowledge of WCW or pro wrestling in general but growing up in Georgia, you still hear about Gordon as a broadcaster even now. In 2024, and Jim Ross became the voice of my childhood in 99 when I became a fan so you have, the men that are considered the two greatest broadcasters in the history of the industry on one broadcast. Pretty cool.

Cool finds on these. Gordon passed away before shoot interviews started booming so this in particular is a gem.

Even with his pack of unfiltered cigarettes a day habit i could still listen to Gordon Solie read the phone book…..He is the GOAT of wrestling announcers Jim Ross would even say so….

Had no idea that Solie was a MN native. So much of pro wrestling's history seems to have begun there!

Beautiful Bobby as a Baby Face with Sting. The Omni. The only Orange, Red and Pink sports arena in the country. It no longer exists. Replaced by Philips Arena which is now called State Farm Arena.
