Its not taken long for Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney to find a replacement for Fleur Robinson. Michael Williamson was today announced at the clubs new ceo. #wrexhamfc #wrexham #ryanreynolds #welcometowrexham
Clearly he has extendive experience in developing the outstanding infrastructure issues crucial to the Club's further development. I'm sure his credentials would have been thorougly assessed before appointment. Sounds like a good choice. Tangible results will be the proof.
Has potential. I agree with the training ground expansion, that could be one of the key reasons on the appointment. And I think that may be what the club would like to get dealt with asap.
Seems a solid signing, why has he left Miami though... What's his background with them? Seems like he's done a lot for DC and Inter but I gotta ask the question why leave somewhere like Miami for the job in Wrexham. His salary must be huge... Good luck to him.
Miami FC, from USL, not to be confused with Inter Miami from MLS…Wrexham is a step up in every way, except, perhaps, the pyramid, as USL is 2nd division, although arguably might be more on level with League One or even Two…
Yeah, I did mention in the video and showed the badge but I can see it's easy to confuse the two. I still think he's probably on a massive salary still, it will be interesting to see if they divulge his salary here at Wrexham.
@@npinjest7779 personally I'd say MLS is the equivalent of our league one in terms of quality teams, it's where great players go to retire 🤣 yea in America they have two or three teams basically called the same thing... Still working for a club the size of inter Milan and DC united must be a bit of a step down in terms of money available but a step up in challenges and proving he's good at his job. Either way it's exciting times to be a Wrexham fan.
It was on the cards over the last 12 months. She is possibly becoming chairwoman of Burton Albion FC if her father Ben stands down. Or some other role there.
I looked very quickly for his dob and nationality but nothing came up so I didn't assume. He went to the Uni of Delaware so I assume he is. The most important thing is that he seems like a doer and will hopefully get our expansion plans back on track
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone ya, I also looked, couldn't find anything, but I do have another idea on where to look for that information. Anyway, he does look like a guy who would get things done, question would be how forceful is he in trying to get things done, last thing I would want to see is Wrexham butt heads with the university or the town politics in a bad way, if you know what I mean.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone Ya, but couldn't he be from Europe somewhere, I think if you from Europe you still need a work visa don't you? after Brexit atleast
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone Dosn't he would need a work Visa if he's from Europe somewhere anyway? not sure about the rules about that even more so after Brexit. But ya, seeing how his school was in the states, and his first job was in N. America, I'm also assuming he's american/canadian.
My first thought was “why leave Miami after a scant 2 years”? I researched him and found nothing yet. The news is still so fresh… that every search result still had him as CEO of Miami FC - perhaps a personality clash with a too controlling Beckham? I couldn’t even find what nationality he is or where he was born.
It's not the team owned by Beckham. This is Miami FC, a USL championship team. I am just assuming he is American or Canadian. I looked for his age and nationality but nothing.
I know she wasn't very popular with some employees or fans. I spoke to her once or twice when I was waiting for my brother to finish work and she was pleasant enough. I can't really judge her either way.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone tbf I've never met her just heard the stories about her, and I know what our fans can be like. Maybe it's a learning curve for Wrexham and her.
I know the discount that part timers get was stopped in the club shop and that didn't go down to well. I think its a bit mean really because they work really hard.
Well done on your promotion, helped by a Welshman I see! He used to live not far from Wrexham, in Anglesey! Some massive names there, Fabregas, Henri. Very similar story I'd say except Wrexham where in the non professional leagues for years!
Sounds like a good choice for the team, sorry to hear that Fleur Robinson is moving on. Feels like Reynolds, McElhennny and the rest of the Wrexham owners missed a chance here for a mini series to stand along side 'Welcome to Wrexham'. Turn the search and the appointment into a Game of Thrones, or Survivor style competition. Ten contestants will enter the arena, only one will become the next CEO of Wrexham FC and sit on the Racecourse throne!😂
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone Just a feeling. My instincts are rarely wrong. I usually play the wait and let them prove me wrong game. They rarely do prove me wrong but on the other hand Rob and Ryan have the city and town in their hearts so maybe Im wrong this time.
I was just replied to someone else, I have no judgement either way to give on her. I spoke to her a couple of times and she was pleasant but some people were rubbed up the wrong way by her so who knows?
