It's unlisted at the moment. I tried to edit something using the youtube online editor and it caused blurring. A real pain to be honest! Surprised you still saw it actually , as I unlisted it an hour ago. Is it still showing for you?
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone yes, The Racecourse!! LOL!! Being from Boston, not the newly promoted to the national league one from Lincolnshire, they would all be new to me. I’m envious of all of you over there which is why I love channels like yours. Thanks for all the content!! I can’t get enough
Actually surprised me LOL I thought you were going to say Yankee Stadium or some massive baseball stadium in Canada somewhere. Thanks very much. Hopefully you will get to Wrexham one day and can see it for yourself. Most people enjoy their stay and most seem to get drunk at the Turf LOL
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone I didn’t even think of stadiums here, I’m so focused on Wrexham but that’s a great point! I’ve never been to Yankee stadium but not sure I’d want to either! there are plenty here I haven’t seen but I’ll still put your Cae Ras above em all!!
Interesting video, but a lot of the images were obscured for me. Was that an issue on your end, or something done by RU-vid? Started being partially blocked around the 1:38 minute mark or the Black Pool section and carried on from there. Cleared around the 3:50 mark.
RU-vid error I think. I unlisted it because of the blurring. I'd stupidly edited this video at 3am in the morning and had put a bristol city badge instead of rovers.
I know Wrexham are doing well but if he gets an offer to play for a premiership side or a top European side who in their right mind would want to stop him from taking that opportunity
@WrexhamAFCfanzone I didn't say he would be their nos 1, but if a premiership or even a championship team offered him a position or any position. He would be stupid to say no.
Yeah I know but Arthur wants first team football, he doesn't want to sit on the bench all season. I can't think of any premiership team that would put him in as number 1. There are probably only so many championship sides too.
Arthur's young and thinks he's bulletproof. He's one serious injury away from the end of his career but feels his career will be as stellar as Ben Foster's. There's no way WXM can afford someone making 7.8M a year at this stage. Even if their infrastructure and revenue could afford it, it's s stupid move spending that much on a single person. That will only bring resentment in the dressing room and Phil has taken care to build a cohesive team on and off the pitch.
Is that an idea they actually had? LOL They would have been better having Wrex flying them on his back with a United logo stamped on him! Although, you know what now I am thinking Wrex in a pilot's costume would have been fantastic!
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone Don't think it was ever considered. Pretty sure the FAA or the Pilots Union would tell them no. 😂Wrex wearing pilot gear roaming the terminals would handing out those swag kits is not a bad idea.
Yeah, Ryan....button it up, man! And of course they noted and let the internet know that they know all about eBay. I like United didn't let them stop doing it. Perhaps a bag won't be as easy to resell.
I Like it. what they should do is have these lesser bags made into small pillows, I would love to have one of each for my couch. Also, on another note, seeing how they keeping the colors fore the second season of them sponsering, I'm going to assume the colors for coming season are staying red, white and black.
I did think about the kit as well, we are obviously still having United on the front although did they sign a long deal with them? I can't remember how long it was for. I assumed it was for one season only. I am not sure the colour of the amenity kit can guarantee the shirt colours but I wouldn't mind if they did stay the same.
I know. It actually doesn't say how long this is going to run for. I am happy for a new kit, happy to keep old one. Although, all the kits are 40% off in the shop at the moment so that is something they would only do if a new kit was coming in. I think we will have new kits, but United will continue to use that one until new one is released then they will change.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone Well, i wasn't saying the kits are going to stay the same, I can tell you right now the kits are going to change. just like a lot of clubs, they can change the team design completely but still keep the main color of each. keeping the colors, doesn't mean the kit is not going to change.
Red will always be the colour of the home kit. The white away shirt will vanish, it was hated and deemed unlucky. Black will remain in some form. United airlines have said the amenities kit will only start in June on flights over 14 hours and once they're out of stock they are gone.
There is one big advantage for a player to stick with wrexham: massive publicity and name recognition in the US pretty much opens the door to playing in the MLS in the future. This is a pretty attractive move for many. This player would certainly make the cut. If you've made a boatload of money over your career, the US is one place where you actually get to enjoy it in retirement.
Thanks very much. I did label some areas but it was small text at the bottom left. I didn't want to hide the video. Wrexham looks so clean and nice from the air! I know the reality is different in some places when on the ground.
Players earn what the market will support. No more, no less. They have 1 1/2 months off every season. Not even a break to reset. Their earning window is, at most, 10-13 years for great olayers, a few longer for the elite. It comes at a personal price. Btw, keep vardy away.
I don't know where the vardy rumour came from but it sounds ridiculous. I agree about the limited earning window. I think that's why we have Palmer and others setting up business now for the financial security in the future.
My friend has so many drones you wouldn't believe! All different sizes, one really big one and an FPV drone with googles to do aerial acrobatics. Great for keeping an eye on the football ground and seeing stuff that is closed to the public.
Depends on what the clubs and the club owners are making, as to how much the players are paid doesn't it? If the sports team is successful and making big money, why shouldn't the players be well paid as well.
Tony Dorset was a great running back for the Dallas Cowboys Americans Football team making millions and spent it lavishly. He had poor investment advisement and retired nearly penniless.
Good on Fletch for trying to help the kid but who knows if his words fall on deaf ears. Arthur seems like a nice bloke and hopefully money isn’t the only thing on his mind. Transfer window doesn’t officially open until June 14 and I’m guessing the team made Arthur a fair and generous offer but it wouldn’t surprise me to see Parky move quickly on another keeper either. It’s pretty clear what Arthur gets if he stays: he is clearly the number 1; a decent wage; a team heading in the right direction with great owners; and more exposure than probably any other team other than maybe an upper end PL team.
I hope he considers that he would be number 1 and would get lots of game time. Plus like you said we have the best owners. OK so he might get the money in a big club but if he doesn't play and they eventually release him if would not have been able to impress anyone. He would end up having to settle for less than Wrexham.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone Looking at what happened with Kalvin Phillips moving from Leeds to Man City - this year he's not eligible for the cup win medal. He only played 4 games for City, one less than needed to earn that medal. Sure, Kalvin is being paid a lot but he's not playing hardly at all and probably won't be on the starting XI for England. Arthur should heed that Money doesn't always equal happiness. Unless that's all he wants. He'd do better signing for Wrexham like @jph418 says.
I think he might be getting the medal after all. On twitter earlier it said he was so am not sure. I agree with everything you are saying though. Imagine in years to come when Phillip's kids or grand kids ask about the medals, what will he say? Its a bit embarassing.
Their careers are short and they often end up without a degree and with lasting injuries, making it difficult to find another career after football. Also, some are kids without a financial advisor, so it's easy to fall into the trap of spending money on flashy things rather than investing in the future. Also with everything that's going on outside the game and pressure from fans and media is what they really get paid for. Playing football is something most of them would do for free if they were financially independent. I still think it'd be good to have a salary cap that forces teams to spread out their salaries over the whole team.
I think you are right that most would do it for free if money was no object. It must be difficult being in a team with someone else earning 10 times more than you.
The beauty of the club is in its history so moving should be resisted if at all possible. Building up and adding levels to the current stadium seems by far the best option. Keep as much of the current structures as possible. The advantage of such a structure would be the cauldron-like atmosphere that you get at many Australian grounds. The SCG comes to mind, and the atmosphere there when the Swans are playing is electric!
I think that is probably what will be done unless something really drastic happens. Wrexham fans are incredibly loud as it is so that cauldron atmosphere you suggest it would be so intense actually.Very intimidating for away teams!
I thought you might want to know you should leave those descriptions up a little longer 5-6 seconds more maybe. There's quite a few of them that I really didn't get to read all the way. Just a FYI. Peace!
Just another City where the University has taken over. That accommodation should NEVER have been allowed there should have been consideration of the Racecourse Ground needing to be expanded sometime in the future, no matter what time scale. Damn rodents, knock the digs down and find a more suitable site for them, next to a sewage works, in it?
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone yeah saw them from my mates garden on hullah lane, it was awesome. We should be seeing them more often from now on as the sun reaches its 11 year sun spot maximum next year
I would love to do longer but always test the waters first. A lot just like football and some like drone and local sights. I’m going to do a large night video in the future.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone I with 67skins75 hoping you will do a longer night flight next time. Something special about a night time drive or flight that I always enjoy.
Me hahaha... Seriously though night footage has been on my list for a while along with putting a camera somewhere for live footage. The last one being trickier!
Beautiful! It's truly amazing to see this architecture that has stood for centuries. The Canadian city where I was born was only founded in 1795 and didn't even become an official province until 1905. P.S. - leave the captions up longer. I have to stop the vid to read them.
I'd like to see the Canadian cities but also the rockies and try the poutine that everyone tells me about. I think it's British Columbia for whales? I'd love to see whales in their natural habitat and the bears in the rockies.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone Rockies are only a 90 min drive away if you come to Calgary and go over to Banff. The mountains are unbelievably gorgeous. BC is the place to go for whale watching. The drive from Vancouver up the Sea to Sky highway offers great views and Whistler is also beautiful (not as good as in the Rockies but definitely worth the effort to see). But you'll have to leave your drone at home. Drones are forbidden in provincial parks.
Can't you get permission to fly the drones or is everyone banned? Thanks for this information. I am not sure when I will get back to North America or be able to visit Canada but its something I really hope to do one day.
Love your videos but, and I am here speaking on behalf of all of your viewers that are high as f*ck while watching, would you please make the subs go slower so we can make it to both text and video? Just asking for a friend 😬
Best option is the area of farmland just down the road. Can turn original site into luxury flats to recoup some money. Moving the uni is very iffy, would have endless hidden costs and end up being a small fortune.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone I've had a better look at this. Student accommodation is a proper annual earner. A lot of the recommendations for Wrexham uni are in Chester. There is a way to kill several birds with two stones. The current stadium - the pitch and one stand (presumably the main stand) transformed into training base, club admin and function suites. Flatten the other 3 stands and build one or two sides of luxury homes and one as student accom. The new site: A new suitably-sized stadium but vitally does not need any of the above. This means the fabric of the stadium can be ultra cheap or, if budgets can squeeze it, have office space, more student accom, a hotel (see Hearts in Edinburgh) or a variety of all those and more. Things that will keep the till ringing, every month. It will be far easier to get funding if the plans amount to useful additions to the area. The club retaining the old stadium as a base of operations and training pitch should also be enough to appease those who don't want a wholesale move.
Wow, you've really thought it through! Maybe you should write to the club! All the planning stuff goes whoosh over my head but some many people who have commented have great ideas.
I really appreciate your videos! Here's a question. Is there any reason the rebuilt racecourse ground needs to be symmetrical any time soon? Some of the most charming ballparks (and consistently well attended) in Major League Baseball in the USA have quirks due to their location, for example, Camden Yards in Baltimore has a warehouse on one foul line. Boston's Wrigley Field (owned by FSG) has a short left field and Big Green Monster of a wall. Where I'm going with this, is: Could Wrexham build a huge Kop on one end, a huge Tech end on the other end, and then rebuild half of the stand that is confined by the apartments, just leave them there. The result would be a weird shape, high and massive on the two ends, and smaller on one sideline. But that could probably get the capacity above 30000 people without dealing with the student apartments.
No reason as far as I know but then I haven't seen drainage plans and stuff like that. It looks like unless the uni sell they will have to build around it. I think you have good ideas, I am sure someone will think the same way too.
