That's my first time that I can watch a long video in English and understand a lot of it. I was not bored with the way she teaches in any moment, because it is very clear and get your attention to the learning. Thank you so much!
Reading really helps to improve your writing, while reading you see how grammar is used naturally, you learn how to use punctuation and it also helps you to enlarge your vocabulary
The accuracy of your conclusions has been confirmed by my personal experience. Since I agree with your summation, I'll approve your observation as probable.
*SUMMARY* 1. Practise your English writing _everyday._ Start small and make it a habit. 2. Do not underestimate the importance of your grammar and word choices. If you have the chance, take a course or seek help from a writing expert. 3. Read in order to learn different writing structures, appropriate vocabulary and tone. 4. Plan your writing using an outline, a mindmap, a list or anything else of your choice. 5. Think and plan in the language that you will be writing in. 6. Dare to make mistakes, and learn from them!
You´re sure about writing skills. I have found it increasingly difficult to remember some grammar rules but I´m bettering because of other ways, as English videos, BBC Highlights (mint condition!), are helping me so much. And of course, you have the perfect teaching system! I have a lot to improve. You really know how to encourage your audience. Thank you, Emma!
Hey there Emma, my name is Ray, and I know it’s pretty late, but I’ve only recently come across your video, mainly because I’m trying to improve my English writing not only out of my own interest but obviously for studying reasons. I think the most useful part of this video for me is both the section on reading and the one for journaling. I already do journal a little bit daily along with writing out my gratitude, but never really pay close attention to the detail like grammatical errors. This will definitely be helpful and aid in my English writing improvement!
Practising your writing is essential if you want to improve your writing skill, but I think having feedback on your written piece is more important if you're going to push your writing skill to the next level. As a human, we tend to repeat our mistakes if no one points out for us.
that's exactly happened with me, still have been suffering from this problem, same english simple words I use while writing answer, when I read them again I laugh at myself what I was writing
I am going to have a test on Saturday. I am really worried about it, but your videos always help me. Writing is a very important skill, so I need to practice it. Thank you for your tips, I am so glad for your help!
I'm living in Canada and sometimes when I need to tune up my english knowledge I watch some of your videos because your pronunciation is definitely clear, unfortunately some words are different in Australia. Thanks for sharing your gift. Best regards from Vancouver.🍁
Every time I open my smartphone I learn more and more just lsten you, your awesom voice and your amazing way to explain any subject! I love your classes your lessons. Thank you very much for teaching me that wonderful language 😍
Hi Emma, when I started writing comments in English I couldn't even build two sentences correctly, I didn't know how to write though I was understanding what's being said. I used to make mistakes, even now while I'm writing I'm sure that I'm making some mistakes, but things are getting much better than before, so what I recommend is to start writing, and day after day writing skills will definitely improve. I still have problems with punctuation and word order. I always notice that people make mistakes while I'm reading their comments, but I don't correct their mistakes because they maybe get annoyed. I would be very glad, if someone corrected my mistakes, because it's the best way to improve our English-writing skill. By the way your channel is the first one I subscribed to.
@@sandhyaac2756 do you mean: if I write a topic I can correct it with the help of google? Goole doesn't always give you the right structure or meaning you want, it helps but it's not a human .
Personally, I found the second advice so useful because she talks finding a support like a teacher who may be able to support us can be really a good tool and a big step, talking writing courses too: I had been thinking regarding that, and now, I feel confident concerning the options mentioned. Thanks teacher, great job!
Hello, Emma! Soon after I have started to learn English again, I realized that I should write the most important things down from your lessons because I would have a few benefits out of it: I would keep the level of my writing skills up, I would improve my English because even writing English helps to think in English and I would have a "grammar book" in exercise books which means that I don't have to go up on the internet to learn from your lessons. So I had been written everyting out and I plan to continue it. Pre-writing and accuracy were the best ideas of yours.
Emma is one of the most sophisticated, philanthropic, and generous teachers who's willing to share usefully refined as well as no-frills information focused on laguage learning. Thank you sooooo much.
I first-time watch your channel. In this video, l learned my writing skill to improve the different ways. If you are tips all the amazing. I followed the simple sentence is very easy. Thank you a lot, Emma.
Hello dear teachear from Buenos Aires Argentina. In my opinion one of the best tips is reading. Doing this you can not only learn new vocabulary but also practise several grammar tips as well, for example how to use inversion phrases or different transitions to link pharagraphs. It s an useful way for me to read because it combines writing, grammar, vocabulary and helps to think in English and that s the only way to start writing accurately. Thanks for everything dear teachear 😘
I usually watch your classes. Because it helps me and a lot of people. I really want to appreciate your teaching method. It is fascinating. I realised that how easy the English is ,when I started watching your videos on RU-vid. I wish I had a teacher like you. Thanks for uploading these helpful videoes for us on RU-vid.
Hey dear.. Have been watching ur videos for quite a while... I'm in love with ur channel ND ur teaching.. Thanks for helping me improve in English I just njoy watching ur videos.. Love from India😍
hello emma. i really appreciate this lesson because I am the kind of person who is afraid of writing in english language. I have searched so many tips on how to improve my english writing and now i think i found it. from my point of view , the most useful way to improve writing is trying to find a writing partner. i have already done the other tips but still afraid to write in english language. Trying to think in the language that u want to learn and write is quite difficult for me . I am totally not used to it. The more I watch ur lessons on youtube and facebook, the more confident I become. Your lessons not only give me knowledges but also make me stronger and encourge me to go on.Thanks heaps.
So happy to hear that my lessons motivate and help you boost your confidence Hlaing 😍 Have you watched my lesson where I show you how to think in English? It takes a bit to get used to.. but it will also help your speaking skills!
Hi from Brazil!! :) I really like your lessons. I've been learning a lot. Thank you. It's hard for me to find the opportunities to write in English and the practice partner. I read a lot though, and try to write as much as possible.
In my opinion, the last tips i.e. the seventh one, "Finding a Writing Partner" will be the best and the most effective way to improve writing skills. Looking forward to writing partner.
i really enjoy your videos because it's really helpful . i find a different ways to improve my english skills and at the same time i enjoy every moment in your videos
Hi, thx for choosing this topic, what i get, the best tip that you gave is «think in English», the more you thinking in English, the less yor going to struggle with structures.
@@juane2259 Hello. I hope you are feeling well in our country and also we can make you feel at home. I m from San Isidro county, it s not so far from La Plata. I know this city because I was there many times. I expect to hearing from you soon. Bye.
I think the first one which is start small is very useful to me so I will be writing at the night the best things that happen to my in every day which going to make me positive and learn from my mistakes 🌻 thank you Eamma
#1 small start is really the most useful for me. Since it's short practice, I can fit it in many small windows throughout my day, whether it's in between games or classes. I can write about my day.
I am not native speaker of English but Emma u speaks very clearly even now i am not speak fluent but I listen to u with 2X playspeed and I understand u very clearly 😮
Hi Emma! I think one of the best tips you ever give to us is to try practicing every day. So I decided to start right now. (My keyboard is in portuguese, sometimes I make unvoluntary mistakes..). I vexame happy when I could translate into portuguese one of your classes! “How to get fluency “. It was a really challenge but I got it! I think you outra all your heart in these classes and this make all the difference! Keep going like that! See you next class. (probably there are mistakes above but I’m follow another advice from/by you!
Dear Ms. Emma, It is highly appreciated, if you can create a video about improving the Literary Writing Skills (Novel). I am Anushka from Sri Lanka who is dreaming to be a English Writer.........Thank you so much for your great lessons and ideas..........
Wishing you luck with being a writer. I wanted the same. I purchased the Dummies Books to learn how. One never stops learning. Emma is amazing. She inspires learning English and Grammar in subconscious ways too.
Reading takes your writing skills to the next level because you can learn so much vocabulary, contexts & punctuations, etc from it. I definitely agree on this fact that one needs to read English newspapers, story books & any sort of article they find anywhere. That's how you boost your vocabulary & try to write fluently with perfection!!!
I have realized how effective it is to write in an English diary each day so as not only to keep a record of what has happened in life but also to make my writing skills more sophisticated. Making it one of my habits also allows me to gain an opportunity to think of daily events directly in English without any interpreting process, which leads to improvement of oral performance as well. How incredible is that!
Make mistake is the tip I love the most..Because I make mistakes most of the time... But more mistakes led me to clarify and never repeat those mistakes again.
Actually, it could be both. It depends on the context. Of course, the meaning will be different. But if you mean the sentence is just 'it's gone.' The 's here would be 'is'.
I appreciate this wonderful lesson, you give me so delightful ideas and helpful thoughts that could improve my writing progress, you shid up the light exquisite tips
Thinking in English is my goal of the week, as a Brazilian it is quite hard to think then write in english, but when I do in my native language and translate it doesn’t work. By the way, I love the video, it really helped me! I'll try to be consistent.
i actually improved on my writing after listening to your advise. in my writing i used to get a lot of mistakes but know i only get 1 or 2 wrong which i was super happy thank you Emma i will tell all my friends when we go back to school thanks again
