A video recorded on VHS tape in about 1988 in the 'Writers in the Region' series of East Midlands Arts, now defunct. It's the second half of No 6 in the series in which the writer Annie Dalton interviews the author J.L. Carr. The interview takes place in the garden of Carr's house in Kettering and he reads a passage from 'A Month in the Country' standing in the graveyard of the Church of St. Faith at Newton, which was the model in structure for the church at Oxgodby in the novel. I found a copy of the VHS video and had it digitised. I have uploaded it here for people who love the work of J.L. Carr to see. I tried to find the successor to East Midlands Arts to ask for permission, but was unsuccessful.

Thank you so much. Thanks to a recommendation by a member of my book club, I have just completed the book (and the film) and found it beautiful gem which has many resonances with my own life. I will refer the clip to them and hopefully some of the others will view very soon.
