Writing a modern text tool for artists by Wolthera van Hövell tot Westerflier 

This talk will discuss why the text tool needed to be overhauled, go into the minimum requirements, as well as look at how this large project was subdivided into smaller manageable chunks.
It will then also show some of the UX and explain how we try to keep something as intricate as a text tool user friendly, going into user feedback as well as some unusual qualities of formatted text like opentype features and unicode graphemes.
