Intention is the root of our worship and actions. In the famous hadith that many of us may have heard many times, Rasulullah s.a.w. mentioned, إِنَّمَا الأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّاتِ، وَإِنَّمَا لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مَا نَوَى، فَمَنْ كَانَتْ هِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ فَهِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ، وَمَنْ كَانَتْ هِجْرَتُهُ لدُنْيَا يُصِيبُهَا أَوْ امْرَأَةٍ يَنْكِحُهَا فَهِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى مَا هَاجَرَ إِلَيْهِ “Indeed, an action starts with the intention. A person will be rewarded only for what he intended. Thus, he whose migration (hijrah) is for Allah and His Messenger, his migration is to Allah and His Messenger; but he whose migration was for some worldly thing he might gain, or for a partner he might marry, then his migration is to that which he migrated for.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari & Muslim) As a seeker of knowledge, building the right intention is important. One must intend to seek knowledge for the sake of Allah s.w.t, in pleasing Him. We seek knowledge so as to get ourselves closer to Allah s.w.t. The knowledge that will make us more humble as we rediscover our true selves. On the other hand, we do not seek knowledge that will make us neglect the Hereafter and only fulfil our worldly pleasures. We do not seek knowledge that will be used to oppress and harm others. We do not seek knowledge that will make us intellectually arrogant. The Prophet s.a.w. reminded us, مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ عِلْمًا مِمَّا يُبْتَغَى بِهِ وَجْهُ اللَّهِ عَزَّوَجَلَّ لاَ يَتَعَلَّمُهُ إِلاَّ لِيُصِيبَ بِهِ عَرَضًا مِنَ الدُّنْيَا لَمْ يَجِدْ عَرْفَ الْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ‏ “If anyone acquires knowledge that should be sought for the sake of Allah, but instead he acquires it merely to get some worldly advantage, he will not experience the fragrance of Paradise.” (Sunan Abu Daud) Imam Al-Ghazali in his book, Ihya’ Ulumudin stressed that generally there are two types of knowledge; the useful knowledge and the harmful knowledge. Useful knowledge refers to “knowledge, which God has, through His Messengers, ordered to seek”, and seeking knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim. On the other hand, harmful knowledge is a form of knowledge that is considered delusional and not benefitting the humankind-at-large, and this must be avoided by every Muslim.

I understand the next receivers of the content of the will should be the brothers and sisters of the one who died. But what if that person had negative relationships with their siblings? What if his siblings have been unfair and deceiving in past business relationships and in general?

Salam alikum, My mother has give in her will family home of our neice. Sadly mother has passed away. In fighting in the family has began. They have now taken over the house and barred rest of the brothers. Is this wrong for mother to bypass will to granddaughters as they have now barred all the brothers. They are refusing to show the will copy to any of the brothers ??

It is the commandment in the Quran dat if death is near, to put up a will..of course the divisions are allocated accordng to faraid except one third can be made to non heirs 🤔

This was a good video. There is a situation where a father passed away without a will and therefore a mother with 2 sons and 2 daughters. We have been told that the wife is entitled to 1/8 and the sons to get double portions than the daughters. There a no grandparents on either side. So my question is can the mother write the Will in a way where the daughter is permitted more since she has been taking care of the parents and managing the household which the son should have done but is choosing not to. The daughter feels oppressed because everything has fallen on her which she can understand as it is the Will of Allah but it’s like the family (siblings) are taking advantage of her helping relentlessly giving her no support, or appreciation or any financial help. Would be good to have an answer on this.

What does he mean by there are set amount to give? Like 1/3 is for whomever I want. What about 2/3? The 2/3 I spilt how I want to my parents and In Shaa Allah my children?

asalaam mu alaykoem. my question is . the wasieyah. mufti ,you the only one that says to spread it . most other oelamah says you can give the whole 3rd to 1 person. that causes a problem still. bcos that 1 persons share is more than even the boy inheritors. for eg. 1.7 mil. a 3rd is over 500k. nd if there are 3 boys nd 4 girls on the inheritors side . the boys gets a bit less than 300k each nd the girls 141k. why im asking bcos to some of my siblings it seems unfair that a wasieyah then gets more than an inheritor. thus my brothers wife said if shes a wife nd only gets an eighth. she would rather want my brother to divorce him b4 he dies nd put her in the wasieyah as a full 3rd. is it right that a wasieyah can get more than any inheritor or should it be worked out to rather give a portion of the wasieyah side to not surpass what the lowest inheritor should get. bcos now it seems as if the deen is being unfare tomorrow the legal inheritors which we all know ALLAH is never unfair. also if a man has a legal wife which gets nd eighth. nd she stood by him nd was a good obedient wife in islam towards her husband nd he passes away nd he left for his mistress a full 3rd which is more than the wife portion. islamically can that 3rd be denied to the mistress, bcos it can cause the legal wife to feel as if she was not dont fair towards her

Is parents allowed to gift whatever they want to only one child.... And the other children think that they are not being fare... Do they have a right to question about it... Allah did not forget to include the number 1/3rd in quran. If that is what he intended that is what he would have written. It's best to execute your will according to Qur'an before you pass to avoid corruption.

But what if those people are abusive and evil?

A Will isn’t always for money I am a single mom and I have a will but it’s not for money it’s so that if I die my child’s abusive father doesn’t take her she will go to my sister or my mother

Because I don't find any way where it states that one third is mandatory and no one can write will be on that and also I don't think that there is any compulsion from Quran that you cannot will anyone more money than aala has given share to them because Allah clearly states that these these shares will only be given to the deceased relatives after fulfillment of will

1:00 please explain how this is possible because in surah nisa it clearly states that you can the portions of everyone that Allah has mentioned will only be divided after the will of the disease has been fulfilled. In other words Islam actually put emphasis on writing will I don't know who came up with this 30% nonsense.

5:00 please tell me in Quran surah nisa Allah is clear that these all shares are are to be divided only after the will of the person has been executed. Any idea of Islam which we get we have to follow in what is written in Quran and no one can change that I don't know why people make this 30% rule compulsory when it is not.
