omg, I thought I was the only once who took dance breaks! it's so encouraging following ur Chanel, makes me feel like I'm not the only one! ( I'm 34 and this is my first semester of uni! and the struggle is REAL)
Hahaha definitely not the only one Kate :) Thanks so much for your comment! Uni is certainly a struggle.....I'm 1.5 years in out of 7 so at this point I'm just hoping to make it through!
Teachers and friends tell me I am articulate but I can't for the love of me write anything down. It really sucks being dyslexic, but even worse is the feeling that you are inadequate.
It really can get you down @Altair 007, I totally get it. I'm sure you have plenty of other strengths that will serve you better in the long run that being able to write an essay! At the end of the day, I'd always prefer to be able to speak to people and articulate myself than write pages of text. Hang in there :) P.S. Maybe you can try speech to text or get a scribe for your exams?
My max was 800words and it took me 12 hours and that's because I had found all references and had all my taps open to making things easier 😂. I need like 2 weeks to finish a 2k word assignment no matter how organized I get before writing. am taking like 5 tea and coffee breaks haha, but now I can't cause am wearing teeth aligners 😭
OMG that made me laugh! I recognized myself, my kids, and the students I teach. I will show this to my students. Would you mind if I quoted you on one of my videos? I show students how to use tech to overcome difficulties with dyslexia. But tech is not a cure-all it doesn't change the way we think. This video will help me demonstrate a point to my students.
Absolutely! So long as you credit us, we are happy to be quoted :) Your channel looks amazing by the way! I'm not sure how I haven't come across it before! Subscribing now.
