I know right? Why can’t we just accept defeat… I really don’t understand people like that. Think they can beat anyone otherwise their car is “running like shit today” lol
To be fair, he's probably running either an open source tune/had some idiot forum guru tune it with tunerpro or some shit. So it's likely running like shit every day.
Wow, the excuses are hilarious "wow my car's running like shit today" I love WRXs, and that Spec couldn't have been stock, but still, that thing was fast.
B16 spec v performance parts are hard to come by now let alone 10 years ago when you commented. I’m sure it was relatively stock minus let’s say an intake but that won’t do shit.
@John Doe and the few people who run boost in there sentras are running like 11 pounds of boost, which is just over 300 wheel, if that spec had 300 wheel it would’ve absolutely wiped the floor on the wrx.
ser sentras are underrated if u ask me I own a 02 witch is my toy I don't drive it daily and love it very quick competitive car especially if u modify them haven't raced any subies yet but im sure I will pull on one its really about the driver and modifications to the car and yes I agree that subie should not have lost but that sentra was probably not stock and had a very good driver
I've got the same SPEC V, and even I'm a little surprised at this. Did the WRX have a banana stuck in the exhaust? Or was the Nissan running nitrous? Or both?
I had the 1.8 because I just needed cheap transportation lol. And yeah, there are advantages and disadvantages for both, as is the case for most cars of different generations.
Nice win for the Spec V. I use to love the WRX (jdm 2 door) until they brought it to the States and every high schooler and military dude with a vape pen drives one.
I love my B15 alot but there are things I don't like about it. Like, the extremely short first gear. The measly 6,200 rpm redline. It has no top end. I can't get past 125 for some reason yet i've heard of other drivers getting as high as 135 - 140 with the same mods.
QuickSilverGT my buddy has a 2012 ser spec v and we'll right now he's building the engine but before that he had the stock motor in it and all he had done to it was exhaust intake and cams and that fucker was fast. these cars are underated I'm about to buy a 2010 model. but anyways he buried his Speedo. got it to 145 I do believe but he had no govenor and I'm not sure if you do or not
First gear is definitely short. And the car has top end if you have an intake and exhaust that can flow it. As for top speed, idk why your stops at 125, mine has indicated on the dash around 150 on a good day, and my friend next to me said that's what speed his car was saying too. Highest GPS confirmed speed was 140 though.
I don't think I need to do any research, bud. I owned an 07 Spec and loved it. But I couldn't beat WRX's without mods consistently. I did win a few but only when my friend missed a shift or something. Not saying Specs can't compete, because they sure can, but it's hard to beat turbocharged power like that.
Wait, you're saying with bolt ons I could beat a WRX, yet above you said this was stock and I should beat a WRX stock. Which is it? Because stock I couldn't beat a WRX. But yes, once I got basic bolt-ons I was able to compete. Again, I didn't lose by much, but enough.
It was stock. a freind of mine has one. There was clearly no exhaust on that thing or any visual mods so it was most likey 100% stock. Its got 200hp and 200 ft lbs of torque. Plus shorter gearing than a wrx which equals faster acceleration. You people underestimate the power of the spec v's. its sad. do some research bud.
never beat a stock wrx from a roll? If you had a few bolt ons you should have been able to so something had to have been wrong. I have the '04 Spec V with CAI, 4-1 Header, 2.5Inch catback and I haven't lost to any stock wrx made before 2005 unless it was from a dig.
No, I lost stock, but won with bolt-ons. And yes the newer specs are heavier and that's not offset by the slightly higher hp. I'd still love to get a b15 like the old 1.8 I had before the spec
pre 2005 wrx's aren't as fast as all you subaru drivers think they are. From a roll you will lose to a spec v everytime. From a dig its a different story if you launch it right. The wrx in this video didn't launch so he lost. its that simple.
Okay, let me make sense of this. Stock, you should have been able to barely beat him however, I forgot that the never spec v's weigh a couple hundred pounds more than the b15 models like mine. That's why I said you should have beat him stock. my bad. Mine has as much power as the stock model you had because I have basic bolt ons. You still lost with bolt ons by a little? Was the race from a dead stop or a roll?
of all the comments to go hey wtf? I'm going to reply it's good old Pantstofry lol. I don't see how the Spec couldn't have been stock...unless we know about the times.
Subaru is only fast on paper .my old 04 G35 sedan auto use to burn sti's up all the time bone stock .seeing the spec v doing this is no surprise.07 n up with that 200hp lightweight close ratio trans it's pretty fast for a n.a spec v
I've owned both cars, and the WRX is certainly faster in almost all situations. That sentra is a well built sleeper, or maybe the wrx was actually not running right lol.
Seriously....where did you find your WRX ? In the garbage or what !!? Or maybe you not able to drive cause honestly I'm pretty sure it's impossible that an SER pass by a WRX
Titilagomme93 not impossible these are bad little cars if it has the correct driver and a few mods. my buddy has a 2012 ser spec v and now he is building a new motor in it and it's bad ass but before his was stock motor other then the cams and had intake and exhaust and he beat a lot of shit there bad little cars
