For my money, these are the best touring car races of the year. 3 laps on the green hell, push as hard as you can, and hope you can hit all your marks. I can’t even think of any other touring car races that compare.
Love the commentators' ignorance of Kristoffersson. Obviously Matt Neal didn't research what Johan had done before otherwise he would never have said "it's good that he's picked up the touring car racing well". That VW Golf is the same type of car he raced in STCC for the past two seasons, winning the title last year. He also won the STCC, Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia and Superstars titles in the same year (2012). And then Haven asking about Johan's junior single seater career. Again, basic research will tell you that Kristoffersson not only never did single seaters, but he only started racing cars when he was 20. He was set to be a cross-country skier until then and had his sights on the Olympics. This along with his two WRX titles and unbeaten run in the Swedish rally championship this year means he is an exceptional "rookie" and one of the best drivers in the field.
After boring Race 1, race 2 and 3 were thrilling from start till end. Especially the final race. Finally hooking up with WTCR. Kristoffersson finally got his win in WTCR before that unfortunate crash.
I have tried WTCR in RaceRoom Racing Experience and these cars are pretty funny and easy to drive if you compare them with more powerful ones from another series. And they even racing on Nordschelife. Great series.
Incredible racing and fantastic commentary, but Mat Neal really needs to stop interupting Martin. He just starts talking halfway through Martin talking and its starting to really annoy me.
Tarquini started racing in 1983 and is well past his best but can still keep up with the leaders doesn't say much for the other drivers in WTCR and I guess to a lesser extent the same would apply to Muller who started racing in 1988
leongt1954 Touring Cars are nowhere near as physically demanding like F1 or WRC so older, experienced drivers can be competitive against younger drivers.
What should have done Tarquini, disappear from the track? Huff was the one to hit Tarquini, not the opposite. And the italian driver literally had NO room to avoid the contact.
