I think the enjoyment/freedom of doing a model that isn't a microscopically correct copy of a real aircraft is not to be underestimated. Sometime this year I will be doing an air defence version of a TSR2 - shorter fuselage, wider wingspan and armed and painted like an 80's grey Phantom. I can't wait.
@@modelpro72 Not sure what scale yet. I've got three 1/72s and a couple of 1/144 to play with. Only one 1/48 so that one will be a big decision. I really don't want to do any of them white.
@@modelpro72 I've been thinking a lot about the TSR2 what-ifs and I've decided one of the 1/72s or maybe the 1/48 will be an ECM/Wild Weasel variant, probably in the low-level wraparound camouflage.
@@modelpro72 How do I drop you photos? If I do it next it will be the 5th model I've made since coming back to the hobby after 40+ years, so the cut and shut could end up as a bit of a frankenstein!
@@modelpro72 I am seriously considering the 1/32 Italeri Tornado, but I have to convince my fiancee about the $180 CAD purchase price and um where it's going on display lol
